Chery Auto Philippines is all set to introduce a new model at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), happening from June 4 to 7, 2026, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Based on the brand’s teaser, Chery is most likely to debut the all-new Q at PIMS 2026.
The Chery Q is a fully electric hatchback set to go up against the likes of the BYD Dolphin and GAC Aion UT once it officially debuts in the Philippine market. The Chery Q has also been included on the Department of Energy’s list of recognized electric vehicles, further suggesting that a PIMS debut is likely.
The initial specs uploaded to the Department of Energy’s online portal state that the Chery Q measures 4,195mm long, 1,811mm wide, and 1,573mm tall, along with a wheelbase of 2,700mm. It can accommodate up to five occupants, and its rated wheelbase is said to offer ample legroom for the passengers. Of note, the Chery Q comes with 131mm of ground clearance.

Exterior-wise, the Chery Q has a sleek and modern appeal, which is highlighted by oval-shaped LED headlights. It also has black trims throughout, which adds texture to the vehicle’s overall look, while the wheels add style points to the Chery Q’s sleek exterior.
The Chery Q is expected to be powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 118 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque. It also comes with a 41.28 kWh battery, and Chery claims that the Q can deliver a driving range of up to 405 kilometers (NEDC) on a single charge. It also has three drive modes to choose from: Eco, Standard, and Sport.
Chery added that the all-new Q comes with a rear-wheel-drive configuration, and it is also integrated with fast-charging capability, which takes 16.5 minutes. The Chery Q also features a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, allowing the car to act as a mobile power bank to run external appliances.

Autocar’s Take
The electric hatchback segment in the Philippines is shaping up to be a battle royale, as several car brands have been introducing their respective challengers in this segment. Among the car brands that want to take a share of the pie is Chery, as it would most likely debut the all-new Q at the upcoming PIMS 2026, happening from June 4 to 6.
The Chery Q is set to go up against the likes of the BYD Dolphin and the GAC Aion UT once it is officially launched in the Philippine market. The Chery Q, BYD Dolphin, and the GAC Aion UT are all electric hatchbacks that will go head-to-head in the local market.
