The VinFast VF 6 took home the Value for Money accolade at the 2026 Autocar India Awards, which is one of the prestigious award programs in the Indian automotive industry. Autocar India praised the VinFast VF 6 for its “knockout pricing,” robust build quality, well-balanced ride and handling, and notable performance.
The Vietnamese car brand shared that the VF 6 also impressed the jury due to the electric vehicle’s market-focused approach to product development for India. VinFast said that the Indian automotive market values long-term value, running costs, and safety, which the VF 6 managed to tick all the boxes to claim the Value For Money Car of the Year at the 2025 Autocar India Awards.
VinFast India Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tapan Ghosh expressed that the car brand is proud to be honored at the 2026 Autocar India Awards, and it motivates the company to continue delivering top-quality products.
“We are proud that VinFast continues to be honored by one of the most prestigious awards programs in the Indian market, the Autocar India Awards 2026. This honour reflects the industry’s appreciation for VinFast’s premium yet accessible electric vehicles, and it motivates us to continue delivering modern, safe, and sustainable electric mobility solutions for Indian customers,” Ghosh said.
The VinFast VF 6 bested other vehicles vying for the said accolade, including the Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, and BMW iX1 LWB. Autocar India Editor Hormazd Sorabjee, who is also among the jurors of the World Car Awards, noted that the VinFast VF 6 is a well-equipped and practical vehicle.
“Getting the value equation right in India is never easy, but the well-equipped and practical VF 6 … does exactly that. It’s a lot of car for the money,” shared Sorabjee.
The VinFast VF 6 was also among the finalists for the Best Design and Styling of the Year and the Midsize EV of the Year at the 2026 Autocar India Awards.
