Chery Auto Philippines announced that it has posted a notable 82 percent year-on-year sales increase in May 2026. This is after it has managed to sell 202 units in May, which is also regarded as one of Chery PH’s strongest monthly sales performances to date this year.

The good sales run in May is said to further boost Chery’s year-to-date performance, with total sales reaching 762 units from January to May 2026. This translates to a 55.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The Chinese car brand said that its strong sales performance is driven by more Filipino motorists who are appreciating the brand’s growing portfolio of “intelligent, electrified, and value-driven mobility solutions.” Chery added that its sales growth is due to the increasing demand for vehicles that combine “advanced technology, efficiency, safety, comfort, and exceptional value.”

“These results reflect the growing trust and confidence that Filipino consumers place in the Chery brand. Today’s motorists are more discerning than ever and are increasingly embracing electrified mobility solutions that deliver tangible everyday benefits. As more customers experience the value, innovation, and ownership journey that Chery offers, we remain committed to providing vehicle offerings that are intelligent, comfortable, and relevant to their evolving needs,” said Chery Auto PH Brand Head Franz Decloedt.

Meanwhile, United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI) Deputy Director Joshua Sytin noted that the brand’s continued growth is tied to changing consumer preferences and the strength of its support network.

“The market continues to present significant opportunities for brands that understand the evolving priorities of today’s motorists. Our performance reflects the increasing demand for vehicles that are intelligent, efficient, safe, and practical for modern Filipino families. Equally important is the confidence customers place in Chery as part of the UAAGI Auto Group, backed by two decades of automotive expertise, technical service excellence, and dependable genuine parts support,” Sytin said.
