Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has marked a significant step in its local expansion with the recent groundbreaking of a new integrated facility in Calamba, Laguna. The project, located within Carmelray Industrial Park 1, will house a parts warehouse, service training center, and office operations under one roof, further strengthening the company’s local presence.
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together representatives from local government units, business partners, and key stakeholders, highlighting the importance of the development to both industry and the community. Among those present were officials from the provincial and municipal levels, as well as representatives from partner organizations and the Carmelray Group.
With an estimated investment of P900 million, the facility is designed to enhance SPH’s after-sales across its automotive, motorcycle, and marine segments. By centralizing parts storage and distribution, the company seeks to improve inventory management and ensure faster availability of components for its nationwide dealer network.

The inclusion of a dedicated service training center is expected to further elevate technical expertise across dealerships, equipping service personnel with updated knowledge and skills. Meanwhile, integrating office functions within the complex is seen to improve coordination among departments, supporting more efficient day-to-day operations.
SPH President Koichiro Hirao described the project as a foundation for the company’s future in the country. The company head went on to say, “This project stands as a powerful reflection of our vision – our commitment to progress, innovation, and long-term growth. Of strengthening our capabilities, expanding our reach, and creating greater value.”
Beyond internal benefits, the project is also expected to contribute to the economic activity in the CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) region. Its construction and operation are expected to generate employment opportunities and support surrounding industries, thereby benefiting local communities.
Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2026, with completion and operational rollout targeted for August 2027.
Autocar’s Take
While new car launches often grab headlines, SPH’s efforts to invest in its internal operations are just as important. The construction of this big after-sales complex is an example of that. It shows SPH’s clear understanding of what really sustains growth in a highly competitive market; after-sales support. Long-term customer satisfaction is built on parts availability, service quality, and operational efficiency. And this integrated facility addresses all three in a single move.
The decision to build this facility also reflects SPH’s confidence in the local market, most particularly in CALABARZON’s role as an industrial hub. The project may not be all that glamorous, unlike flashy new model launches, but it’s just as strategic. Developments like this often define how well a brand retains customers over time, making it a meaningful step for SPH’s continued success.
