Jetour is on a roll when it comes to getting notable safety ratings at the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP). This is after the Jetour T1 achieved a five-star safety rating from the ASEAN NCAP, following the good performance by the Jetour T2, which also got a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
The Jetour T1 achieved a slightly higher safety rating than the T2, as it scored an overall ASEAN NCAP safety rating of 87.67 points. As a comparison, the Jetour T2 achieved an ASEAN NCAP rating of 86.50 points. Similar to other ASEAN NCAP crash tests, such as with the Suzuki Fronx Hybrid and the Mitsubishi Destinator, the overall rating for the Jetour T1 was determined by considering four categories: Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assist (SA), and Motorcyclist Safety (MS).
With that in mind, the Jetour T1 performed well in the four categories and was able to get a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating. Of note, the tests conducted were under the ASEAN NCAP’s 2021–2025 protocol.
“Safety remains one of the most important priorities for Filipino car buyers, and this recognition further strengthens our confidence in the JETOUR lineup. The 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating for the all-new JETOUR T1 reflects the brand’s commitment to delivering vehicles that combine innovative technology, everyday practicality, and the highest standards of occupant protection,” said Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. Managing Director Miguelito Jose.
Under the AOP category, the Jetour T1 scored 38.09 points, and the ASEAN NCAP noted that the data obtained from the test dummy showed there was adequate protection to the driver’s chest, left lower leg, and feet. The data also showed that the front passenger’s right lower leg received adequate protection.
The Jetour T1 scored 16.18 points in the COP category, while it achieved 17.14 points in the SA category and 16.25 points in the MS category. The Jetour T1 is equipped with several advanced driver assist safety features, including Active Braking or Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Auto High Beam (AHB), among others. The AEB is among the features that the ASEAN NCAP tested, and the organization confirmed that it has functioned according to its standards.

Autocar’s Take
The T1’s five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating is a testament to the built quality and overall design of Jetour’s model lineup. Similar to the T2, the Jetour T1 scored a five-star safety rating from the ASEAN NCAP, which shows that Jetour values overall vehicle and occupant safety on top of distinctive design and tech features.
This also shows that Jetour’s products can provide peace of mind when you’re on the road, as it offers notable occupant protection in the event of a crash. As what Jetour PH Managing Director Miguelito Jose said, the ASEAN NCAP five-star safety rating reflects Jetour’s “commitment to delivering vehicles that combine innovative technology, everyday practicality, and the highest standards of occupant protection.”
