Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced that it will be showcasing several custom Delica vehicles at the upcoming 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon. The car brand has confirmed that customized versions of the all-new Delica Mini and Delica D:5 will be the stars of its booth, and looking at the images, we can’t help but wish that the Delica is also available in the Philippines.
The Delica D:5 is a minivan that’s designed to have the capability to drive through tough terrain, making it an ideal vehicle for family-oriented individuals who love to go overlanding during the weekends. The Delica Mini, on the other hand, is smaller than the Delica D:5, but it also comes with an SUV-like styling and capability, and could also be a vehicle that can be customized for light off-road adventures.
Our wish to have the Delica available locally was further emphasized when we saw the possibilities of how it can be customized to be an off-road-ready vehicle, courtesy of Mitsubishi. The Japanese automaker will be highlighting the strength and versatility of the Delica D:5 and Delica Mini at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Among the cars to be showcased is the Delica Mini Ultimate Gear, which is the highlight image shown on top of this article. This custom Delica Mini features a two-tone exterior color along with a rugged textured accent. It comes with a roof rack, front grille guard, and rear ladder, as well as a 20mm suspension lift. Not to mention, it also has an additional lighting system that would come in handy when exploring the great outdoors.

Another vehicle to be showcased is the Delica D:5 Ultimate Gear, which comes with bumper guards and side steps designed for rugged terrain. To complete the look, Mitsubishi said that the vehicle’s exterior features a special rugged textured coating that makes scratches less noticeable, giving you more confidence when driving through tough terrain.

Mitsubishi will also be bringing a Delica Mini that’s customized with Delimaru, which is Delica Mini’s official mascot. The car brand integrated the custom Delica Mini with a Delimaru riding on top of the vehicle, dressed in a traditional Japanese happi coat.

Next up is the Delica D:5 Active Camper, which features a white birch wood-grain finish paired with a soothing brown interior. Mitsubishi shared that this custom Delica D:5 is made possible in collaboration with outdoor brand Logos. The car brand added that this vehicle aims to integrate premium-like outdoor styling while maintaining the versatility of the Delica D:5 and its 4WD capability.

Also making its appearance at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon is the Delica Mini Active Camper, equipped with a pop-up roof, a front skid bar, and mud flaps. It also has a lift kit, enhancing its off-road capability.

Next on the list is the Delica Mini x “DALI” with DAMD, a vehicle that shows a fusion of classic and modern design. In fact, the front end of this custom Delica Mini reminds you of a classic Mitsubishi vehicle, which is the Pajero. That front grille and round headlights make it an unmistakable nod to the iconic Mitsubishi Pajero.

Mitsubishi will also be showcasing the Delica D:5 Wild Adventure style, which comes with the car brand’s genuine accessories, such as a flat roof carrier, large mud flaps with rally-inspired straps, and a stainless-steel rear under cover.

The Delica Mini Wild Adventure style is also equipped with genuine accessories. It also comes with camouflage‑pattern decals, a dedicated roof rack, and mud flaps that create a tough, adventurous look.
Mitsubishi will also be displaying the following vehicles at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon: Delica Mini TOMICA 55th Anniversary Edition, Triton rally car, and the Delica D:5 (AXCR 2025 support car). The 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon will run from January 9 to 11 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
