Green GSM Philippines has expanded its all-electric mobility offerings with the launch of Premium Taxi, a seven-seat electric taxi service aimed at customers looking for more space, comfort and a quieter ride around Metro Manila. Launched on August 25, Premium Taxi becomes the second service tier of Green GSM in the Philippines, following Green GSM Car. The new service uses the VinFast Limo Green, an all-electric vehicle with three rows of seating and enough room for up to six passengers.

The Premium Taxi service is positioned for a wide range of passengers, including families, business travelers, groups, customers with several pieces of luggage and those simply looking for a more relaxed way to get around the city.

Unlike the cyan-colored Green GSM Car fleet, Premium Taxi vehicles are finished in black to give them a more upscale appearance. The VinFast Limo Green also comes equipped with automatic air conditioning, dedicated air vents for the second and third rows, and an air filtration system designed to keep the cabin comfortable.

Green GSM is also highlighting the advantages of an electric taxi. The Premium Taxi fleet produces no tailpipe emissions and eliminates fuel odors and engine noise, potentially making the ride more pleasant for passengers.

The company said its Premium Taxi drivers have been selected based on strong service ratings, while fares are displayed through in-vehicle meters and the Green GSM app. Customers can use the app to book a ride and monitor fare and trip information.

For its initial rollout, Premium Taxi will operate in Makati, Taguig, Mandaluyong and Pasig, covering major business districts, commercial centers, hotels and transport hubs.

Customers can book through the Green GSM app, hail an available Premium Taxi on the street or call the company’s customer service hotline at 02-7777-8080.

Green GSM Philippines CEO Le Thi Thu Trang said the new service is intended for journeys where comfort and attention to detail are important, including family trips, airport transfers, business engagements and special occasions.

The company said the launch further expands its all-electric mobility portfolio in the Philippines while supporting its commitment to professionalism, transparency and customer care.

As of March 31, 2026, Green GSM said it had completed nearly five million trips covering more than 32.6 million kilometers using all-electric vehicles in the Philippines. The company estimates these trips helped reduce around 6,263 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Autocar’s Take

Green GSM’s Premium Taxi launch is an interesting move in a market where ride-hailing is increasingly becoming about more than simply getting from point A to B. The seven-seat VinFast Limo Green gives the service a clear advantage for families, groups and passengers with plenty of luggage. More importantly, putting a premium electric taxi on Metro Manila roads shows how EVs are gradually moving beyond private ownership and into everyday transportation.

The initial coverage is limited, but that is probably sensible. If the company can consistently deliver the promised comfort, professional service and transparent fares, Premium Taxi could give electric mobility a more practical and visible role in the city.
