VinFast is positioning itself to shake up the Philippine seven-seater market with two new electric MPVs, the VF MPV 7 and the VF Limo Green, as it pushes for wider EV adoption among both private buyers and commercial operators. The company says the new models are part of a broader strategy to redefine vehicle ownership rather than simply expand its local lineup.
According to VinFast, the traditional MPV segment has long centered on practicality and passenger space, often requiring buyers to compromise on design, driving experience, or long-term operating costs. The automaker believes those priorities are changing as consumers are now becoming more conscious of fuel expenses, ownership costs, and sustainable mobility options.
The company has positioned the VF MPV 7 as a family-oriented electric people mover designed to balance cabin space, flexibility, and everyday usability. VinFast says the vehicle is intended to suit the varied needs of Filipino households, from school runs and errands to weekend trips, while offering a more refined alternative to conventional MPVs.
Meanwhile, the VF Limo Green targets transport operators and businesses that rely on high vehicle utilization. VinFast claims the electric MPV can help reduce operating and maintenance expenses while providing more predictable energy costs, making it a practical option for commercial fleets looking to transition to electric mobility.

Beyond the vehicles themselves, VinFast highlighted several ownership programs aimed at addressing common concerns surrounding EV adoption. Its battery subscription model separates the battery from the vehicle purchase, which the company says can reduce the initial purchase price by around 20 percent while shifting battery maintenance responsibilities to VinFast.
The automaker also pointed to its Residual Value Guarantee program, which it says offers value protection of up to 90 percent of the vehicle’s original purchase price under specified conditions, addressing concerns about resale value.
Supporting these initiatives is VinFast’s growing local ecosystem, including its partnership with V-Green to expand charging infrastructure and provide free charging until March 2029. The company has also launched the RENTAPASADA vehicle rental program to help drivers join ride-hailing and transport services using VinFast EVs.
“When VinFast entered the Philippines, we did not want to focus only on selling cars. We wanted to find ways to make electric mobility work in the real world. With the VF MPV 7 and the VF Limo Green, supported by an expanding ecosystem, we are enabling a more practical and accessible transition to electric vehicles in the Philippines,” shared Rhomel Franco, CEO of VinFast Philippines.

Autocar’s Take
The arrival of the VinFast VF MPV 7 and VF Limo Green shows the brand’s understanding that many Filipino buyers remain cautious about EV ownership because of costs, charging, and resale value. Whether its battery subscription model and residual value guarantee will convince more people to switch remains to be seen, but they address questions that buyers frequently ask. If VinFast can deliver on these promises while continuing to expand its charging network and aftersales support, its electric MPVs could become a serious alternative to conventional seven-seaters — challenging the big names in the segment, in the process.
