Omoda & Jaecoo is set to put its hybrid, intelligent vehicle, and green manufacturing technologies under the spotlight at the 2026 International User Summit, scheduled for October 18 to 24 in Wuhu, China.

The global event will bring together users, media representatives, and partners as Omoda & Jaecoo demonstrates what it describes as a full-stack approach to artificial intelligence, electrification, intelligent vehicles, and sustainable manufacturing.

A major part of the showcase will be the brand’s investment in research and development. Omoda & Jaecoo says its parent company spent RMB 6.672 billion on R&D in the first half of 2026, up 28.3% year-on-year. The investment is focused on areas such as electrification platforms, advanced driver assistance systems, and intelligent cockpits.

At the summit, the Omoda & Jaecoo Super Intelligent Experience Lab will demonstrate its SIVP, or Super Intelligent Valet Parking, and SIAS, or Super Intelligent AI Space. The company says these systems are designed to combine vehicle actions with AI-assisted understanding of users and driving scenarios.

Range and hybrid efficiency will also take center stage. The Omoda 4 SHS-H, Omoda 5 NEXT, and Omoda 7 SHS-H will participate in a long-distance test designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the brand’s SHS Super Hybrid technology.

Omoda & Jaecoo says the Omoda 7 SHS-H will also make its global debut with a new 5-kWh large-battery HEV system.

The company points to previous real-world testing as evidence of its hybrid technology’s capabilities. The Jaecoo 7 SHS-P covered around 1,333 km on a single tank and charge at UTAC Millbrook in the UK, exceeding its official WLTP range by 11.14%. The Jaecoo 8 SHS-P, meanwhile, recorded a 1,660 km combined driving range in Indonesia and earned a Guinness World Records title.

Beyond vehicle technology, Omoda & Jaecoo is highlighting its efforts to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing. It says renewable energy currently accounts for 52.77% of electricity consumption across its parent company’s vehicle manufacturing facilities, which include five national-level green factories and two zero-carbon factories.

The company also says its recycled aluminum technology can reduce carbon emissions by 80% compared with primary aluminum. The Jaecoo 7 SHS reportedly uses approximately 75% low-carbon aluminum, while Omoda & Jaecoo’s recycling operations can process 100,000 tonnes each of scrap steel and aluminum, plus 10,000 tonnes of waste plastics.

For Omoda & Jaecoo, the summit is intended to show how its green technology, hybrid systems, and intelligent mobility efforts are being applied beyond the laboratory and into production and real-world driving.

Autocar’s Take

Omoda & Jaecoo is clearly trying to make the 2026 International User Summit about more than another batch of new vehicles. Its focus on hybrid range, AI, intelligent driving, and greener manufacturing gives the event a broader technology angle. The claimed 1,660-kilometer hybrid record is particularly interesting, while the push toward zero-carbon factories shows that the company is looking beyond what happens after a vehicle leaves the showroom.

Of course, these are still Omoda & Jaecoo’s claims, and real-world ownership will ultimately determine how meaningful these technologies are. Still, the company appears serious about making its SHS Super Hybrid technology a key part of its global identity.
