Suzuki Philippines is expanding its dealership footprint in Iloilo with the opening of Suzuki Auto Oton, a new 3S facility intended to bring the brand’s vehicle sales and after-sales services closer to customers in Southern Iloilo.

Located along J.C. Zulueta St. in Poblacion South, Oton, the dealership is operated by Grand Canyon Multi Holdings Inc. under Dealer Principal Jan Andrew Po. Its opening also marks the 10th Suzuki dealership under the Grand Canyon Group, strengthening its existing partnership with Suzuki Philippines.

The location puts the Japanese carmaker closer to customers in Oton and nearby communities, describing the town as an important center of commerce and trade in Southern Iloilo. The new dealership features a showroom where customers can view the brand’s vehicle lineup, together with a dedicated service area for after-sales support.

For Suzuki Philippines, the new dealership is part of its effort to make its products and services more accessible outside the country’s major urban centers. During the opening ceremony, Suzuki Philippines Director and General Manager Norihide Takei highlighted the dealership’s role in making the brand’s vehicles and services more accessible to customers in the area while recognizing Grand Canyon Multi Holdings’ 10-dealership milestone.

After-sales support is another key part of the new facility. Suzuki Philippines General Manager for After Sales and Marine Division Yukio Sato said the facility will provide customers in Oton and surrounding communities with access to genuine Suzuki parts and professional service from trained personnel.

The opening also puts the spotlight on the All-New e-Vitara, Suzuki Philippines’ fully electric SUV. The model is being showcased at the dealership as part of the grand-opening activities, giving visitors an opportunity to see Suzuki’s entry into the fully electric vehicle segment.

Beyond the showroom itself, Suzuki says the new dealership is intended to provide customers with support throughout vehicle ownership, from the purchase process to servicing and maintenance.

The Oton opening comes as Suzuki Philippines continues to expand its presence across the country. For customers in Southern Iloilo, the new facility provides a more accessible point for exploring Suzuki vehicles and obtaining authorized after-sales services without having to travel farther for the brand’s sales and service network.

Suzuki Philippines says the dealership reflects its “By Your Side” approach, emphasizing continued customer support beyond the initial vehicle purchase.

Aitocar’s Take

Suzuki Auto Oton may not be the flashiest development in the automotive industry, but it represents an important part of how a brand grows outside major metropolitan areas. For customers in Southern Iloilo, having a dedicated Suzuki dealership means easier access to both vehicles and authorized after-sales support.

The timing is also interesting, with The All-New e-Vitara being showcased during the opening and giving the dealership a connection to the brand’s move into electric mobility. More importantly, the expansion of Suzuki’s dealership network suggests that accessibility remains a major part of the ownership experience, particularly for customers outside the country’s largest cities.
