The Mitsubishi Triton gets an updated look with the introduction of the Street Edition trim in Thailand. It is a pickup truck that’s based on the Triton’s Mega Cab trim, sold in the Land of Smiles.

At first glance, it is noticeable that the Mitsubishi Triton Street Edition comes with a different front end as compared to the current Triton available in the market today. The refreshed grille changed the Triton’s persona, giving the pickup truck a bit of a sportier look rather than the bold, rugged finish seen on the standard version.

The Triton Street Edition also comes with a revamped front bumper that’s highlighted by black trims, as well as a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Mitsubishi said that the Triton Street Edition’s distinctive styling delivers a “darker, more dynamic look that reflects its strong performance, durability, and agility.”

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand President and CEO Ryoichi Inaba shared that the new Mitsubishi Triton Street Edition “embodies the true spirit of strength and readiness to take on any challenge, with the performance, safety, and durability that align with the core of Mitsubishi pickup DNA.”

“It is designed to support both everyday use and every adventure on all road conditions while also delivering impressive fuel efficiency. All of this reinforces our dedication to developing vehicles that enhance and enrich every aspect of our customers’ lives,” Inaba added.

Inside, it has a black interior theme along with abundant use of hard plastic materials. Despite having a utilitarian-like cabin, the Triton Street Edition has a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Mitsubishi also integrated safety features such as the Forward Collision Mitigation System with Pedestrian Detection, Active Limited Slip Differential, dual airbags, front driver’s knee airbags, anti-lock braking system, and hill start assist.

Under the hood, the Mitsubishi Triton Street Edition is powered by a 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine that puts out 150 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
