MG Motor announced that it has achieved its one million sales milestone in Europe, a feat that shows the car brand’s continued global growth and expansion. MG said that electrified mobility has been one of the sales drivers of its success in Europe.

The car brand shared that it has steadily expanded across Europe since 2011, and it is now present in 34 European countries with more than 1,300 dealer partners. MG shared that this achievement shows strong consumer demand and the car brand’s ability to deliver “accessible, well-designed vehicles built around advanced technology and electrification.”

Electric vehicles are among the key sales drivers for MG’s success in Europe. MG noted that it has delivered over 317,000 electric vehicles in the region. Models such as the MG4 electric vehicle (EV) are among the standout MG models in Europe, as it has earned recognition for their balance of performance, practicality, and value.

Hybrid models have also contributed to the MG’s growth, with 139,000 Hybrid+ deliveries recorded in 2025 alone. These efficient and practical vehicles have further solidified MG’s position in the European market.

In the Philippines, MG is off to a good start this year as it recorded 716 units sold in January, increasing its share of overall industry sales. This is based on the industry sales report by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).

The January 2026 results represent an increase of 181 units compared with December 2025, and a 34 percent improvement against the same month last year, solidifying the brand’s continued growth in the Philippine automotive market.

Autocar’s Take

MG Motor’s success in Europe is a testament to its continuous effort to offer value-for-money vehicles that are packed with modern technologies and essential features. Achieving a one-million sales milestone shows that the market has developed trust in the car brand’s products.

In the Philippines, MG had a good start in terms of sales this year. It has sold over 700 units, allowing the car brand to be the eighth best-selling CAMPI member car brand in the Philippines based on January 2026 sales. This shows that MG PH’s roadshows could be an effective way to spread more awareness of its product lineup.
