Aside from quietly introducing the updated RZ battery electric vehicle (BEV), Lexus Philippines has also revamped the model lineup of the UX compact crossover. It now comes exclusively with a hybrid powertrain, dropping the electric variant, as per Lexus PH’s official website.
That said, Lexus PH is now offering the UX with two variant options: the UX 300h Premier, which is priced at P2,958,000, and the UX 300h F Sport, which comes with a sticker price of P3,508,000. As such, the UX is now exclusively offered with a hybrid powertrain in the Philippines.
The Lexus UX 300h Premier is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine combined with a self-charging electric motor delivering 199 horsepower and 188 Nm of torque. The said engine is connected to an e-CVT. It also comes with several drive modes, such as Normal, Eco, and Sport, which you can select to match your driving style.

In terms of safety, the Lexus UX 300h Premier is equipped with eight airbags, and it comes with Lexus Safety Sense (LSS). The LSS includes tech such as Pre-Collision System, Automatic High Beam System, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Meanwhile, it also comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the other hand, the Lexus UX 300h F Sport is also powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine combined with a self-charging electric motor delivering 199 horsepower and 188 Nm of torque, connected to an e-CVT. It offers four drive modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, and Sport+.
Exclusive to the UX 300h F Sport is the front grille featuring a mesh pattern. It also has F-Sport-exclusive sport seats that are said to be integrated with foaming technology to keep occupants in place even during aggressive driving. In addition, the UX 300h F Sport also has adaptive variable suspension that is designed to continually adjust shock absorption to deliver a smooth and refined ride.
Like the UX 300h Premier, the UX F Sport is equipped with eight airbags, and it comes with LSS tech. It also has a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Autocar’s Take
Lexus Philippines has been updating its model lineup quietly. Aside from the updated RZ BEV, Lexus PH has also introduced a revamped variant lineup for its UX compact crossover, as it now comes exclusively with a hybrid powertrain. Available in two variants, the UX comes with a starting price of P2,958,000, while the F Sport trim is priced at P3,508,000. Lexus PH dropped the electric powertrain option for the UX, which could indicate that Lexus intends to focus more on promoting its hybrid technology. This could also indicate that Lexus wanted to streamline its model and variant lineup by segmenting the powertrains available per vehicle.
