Lexus Philippines could be preparing to expand its model lineup soon by introducing the RZ 350e battery electric vehicle (BEV). This follows the RZ 350e BEV securing homologation documents from the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Securing LTO approval further establishes that Lexus PH could be bringing in the RZ 350e BEV. Not to mention, the BEV is also listed on the Department of Energy’s official website, suggesting that the RZ 350e is on its way to the local market.
According to the LTO document, the Lexus RZ 350e BEV will come with a maximum EV range of 600 kilometers, as well as measure 4,805mm long, 1,635mm tall, and 1,895mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The LTO also stated that the Lexus RZ 350e will have a ground clearance of 200mm and will sit on a set of 20-inch wheels.
The Lexus RZ350e BEV comes with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor and a 74.69kWh battery. It produces 224 horsepower and 269 Nm of torque, and Lexus claims that it can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. As mentioned earlier, the Lexus RZ 350e BEV has a maximum EV range of 600 kilometers (NEDC).
The LTO document also stated that the Lexus RZ 350e BEV can be charged using a DC fast charger, which allows charging from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 28 minutes. Meanwhile, AC charging is said to charge the battery from 10 percent to full in 3.5 hours.
The Lexus RZ 350e BEV is already available in Thailand. The Thai-spec RZ 350e BEV features LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, a wireless charging pad, a digital rearview mirror, and a panoramic roof, among others. It also has a 10-inch head-up display, a 14-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a Mark Levinson premium surround sound system.
Lexus Philippines has yet to announce the official debut of the RZ 350e BEV as of this writing.

These two factors suggest that Lexus PH is making progress when it comes to bringing in the RZ 350e BEV. As mentioned, the said Lexus all-electric vehicle is now available in Thailand, and the power output details match the numbers stated in the LTO documents. With that, this points to a possible Philippine debut, but Lexus PH has yet to confirm the RZ 350e’s local launch.
