Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, took home the Regional Distributor of the Year award at the 2026 Kia Global Distributors Convention held in Australia. Kia Philippines emerged as the top distributor in the whole Asia-Pacific region in 2025, marking the first time it has received the said award.
The car brand expressed that being recognized as the Regional Distributor of the Year is a testament to Kia PH’s notable performance across key metrics, including sales volume, wholesale and retail growth rates, market share growth, and overall dealer capacity. The award is a testament to the positive 2025 sales performance of Kia, as it recorded a 16.7 percent year-on-year sales increase.
Kia PH’s retail sales rose from 6,692 units in 2024 to 7,810 units in 2025, indicating stronger demand for its key models and improved customer engagement. Among the car brand’s sales drivers is the Kia Carnival, which posted a 30 percent year-on-year sales increase, according to Kia PH.

The other sales driver for Kia PH in 2025 is the Sonet, which yielded a 54 percent year-on-year sales increase. This achievement was boosted by the 2025 introduction of the Kia Sonet K-Style Edition, a more distinctive version of the model that targets younger, style-conscious buyers.
Kia PH Managing Director Jay Lopez shared that the Regional Distributor of the Year award motivates the brand to keep pushing forward.
“This award is a strong validation of the hard work and collaboration of our entire Kia Philippines team and our dealer partners. Competing alongside top-performing markets globally and emerging as the Asia-Pacific winner reflects how far we have come as an organization. This achievement motivates us to keep pushing forward and deliver even greater value to our customers,” Lopez said.

Kia PH added that only one top subsidiary or distributor per region was selected for the award. The other four global regions include North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa. Aside from the Philippines, the other countries awarded were the United States, Peru, Denmark, and Northern Iraq.
Autocar’s Take
Kia Philippines’ recognition at the 2026 Kia Global Distributors Convention is a testament that the car brand is taking the right steps in terms of its performance in the local market. Its sales performance in 2025 is notable as it posted almost 8,000 units sold. This shows that Kia’s model lineup is staying competitive in the tightly contested Philippine automotive market, which is currently dominated by Toyota with Mitsubishi as its closest rival.
The recognition also states that Kia PH is the best distributor in the Asia-Pacific region, which is an accolade worth being proud of. From the looks of things, this recognition can also help Kia PH boost its morale and continue to push for an even better 2026 sales run.
