Kia Philippines closed 2025 with a 16.7% year-on-year increase in sales, establishing its presence as one of the fastest-growing mainstream automotive brands in the country. According to data it released, Kia’s retail sales rose from 6,692 units in 2024 to 7,810 units in 2025, indicating stronger demand for its key models and improved customer engagement.

ACMobility, Kia’s official local distributor, attributed the notable performance to a combination of product competitiveness, customer-focused initiatives, and dealer network execution. In this regard, Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility, said the results highlight growing consumer confidence in Kia’s offerings and its ability to meet the evolving needs of Filipino motorists.

Kia’s growth in 2025 was headlined by strong performances from the Carnival and the Sonet. The Kia Carnival ranked second in the premium midsize MPV segment, posting a 305 year-on-year sales increase. It continued to gain attention from families and business buyers seeking space, comfort, and premium features in the segment.

The Kia Sonet, on the other hand, emerged as Kia’s biggest volume growth driver in 2025. The edgy and stylish subcompact SUV recorded a 54% year-on-year sales increase, ranking second in its segment and competing in one of the most saturated segments in the local automotive industry. This achievement was boosted by the 2025 introduction of the Kia Sonet K-Style Edition, a more distinctive version of the model that targets younger, style-conscious buyers.

Beyond the models’ performances, Kia also introduced its three-pronged powertrain lineup in 2025. Customers were offered a full range of internal combustion, fully electric, and turbo-hybrid vehicles. The introduction of turbo hybrid variants, including the Sorento 7-seater Hybrid SUV and the Carnival Turbo Hybrid, expanded the Korean brand’s market reach among buyers seeking fuel-efficient vehicles without fully committing to battery-electric mobility.

Lastly, the company also highlighted gains in customer satisfaction and dealer performance. ACMobility shared that Kia Philippines was given the 2025 Sales Customer Satisfaction Significant Improvement Award from Kia Asia Pacific, while Kia Pasig was recognized as the 2025 Global Best Dealer as a result of its compliance with global brand standards.

With its morale on the positive side, Kia Philippines enters 2026 with what ACMobility describes as strong momentum, supported by product expansion plans and continued focus on customer experience.

Autocar’s Take

Kia Philippines’ 2025 performance shows how consistency can deliver measurable growth. The brand’s focus on strengthening its key models, such as the Carnival and the Sonet, while seamlessly expanding its powertrain options, appears to have resonated with buyers navigating fluctuating fuel costs and evolving mobility priorities.

What stands out is not just the 16.7% sales growth, but also the emphasis on customer satisfaction and dealer quality. Based on the brand’s successful 2025 run, things are looking good for Kia onward to 2026. It all comes down to how the brand can maintain or improve this winning streak.
