InDrive has strengthened its position in the Philippine mobility market, ranking fourth among the most downloaded travel apps in 2025. Based on the latest data from Sensor Tower, a global market intelligence firm, the ride-hailing platform recorded more than 4 million local mobile app downloads during the year, highlighting sustained consumer interest as the company expands beyond ride-hailing.
The latest achievement also confirms inDrive’s global momentum. For the fourth consecutive year, the company remained the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app while raising its global travel app ranking from 5th to 4th place. It also led the travel app category in several international markets, including Pakistan, Peru, Egypt, Morocco, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, and Zimbabwe.
The Philippines’ result highlights growing demand for inDrive’s wider service ambitions as it positions itself as a mobility super app. Beyond its core ride-hailing service, inDrive has begun rolling out new features to bolster its long-term sustainability while maintaining competitive pricing.

Among its most recent initiatives is inDrive.Ads, an in-app advertising platform, is now live in 20 countries, including the Philippines, and is expected to spread globally by 2026. The company said the service is intended to create additional revenue streams for its drivers and local communities while maintaining its take rate among the lowest in the industry. The app’s advertising platform features multi-format banner placements with built-in measurement tools.
At the same time, inDrive has expanded into services such as intercity transportation, courier and grocery delivery, and financial services in select global markets. These offerings leverage the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics to address mapping limitations, improve estimated arrival times, and personalize user experiences, while preserving user choices.
“This recognition reflects the trust people place in our platform and the continued dedication of our global team. As inDrive evolves into a super app, we remain focused on our core principles of fairness, transparency, and user choice while expanding access to services that make a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives,” shared inDrive Founder and CEO Arsen Tomsky.
Meanwhile, Sofia Guinto, inDrive Philippines Country Representative, shared that inDrive.Ads align with the company’s efforts to create a balance between affordability for the passengers and sustainable earnings for the drivers and community partners. Throughout 2026, inDrive plans to continue refining its platform and expanding its user base as it advances into becoming a full mobility super app.
Autovar’s Take
InDrive’s notable performance in the Philippines in 2025 shows how scale and diversification are becoming essential in today’s ride-hailing market. Ranking among the country’s top-most downloaded travel apps while maintaining strong global momentum suggests the brand is looking beyond competitive pricing into the horizon.
In regions such as the Philippines, the introduction of inDrive.Ads are particularly notable, as they point to a more realistic and balanced revenue model that could help sustain lower fares without putting pressure on drivers. InDrive’s decision to elevate its services by transitioning to a super app may offer a practical alternative to platforms that rely heavily on commissions.
