Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) is gearing up to accommodate an estimated 3 million passengers between December 20, 2024, and January 6, 2025. This holiday season, marked by heightened travel activity, PITX is committed to providing a smooth, efficient, and safe “Biyaheng Ayos” for commuters navigating Metro Manila and beyond.
The terminal expects peak foot traffic to occur on December 20, as travelers begin heading home for the holidays. Significant passenger volumes are anticipated through December 23, with another surge expected during the last weekend of December, leading into New Year’s celebrations. The travel rush will continue until January 6, as families and workers return to their regular routines post-holidays.
In partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), PITX has implemented measures to address the holiday surge. These include deploying additional bus units, conducting rigorous vehicle safety inspections, and enhancing traffic management to reduce congestion.
Passenger assistance remains a priority, with terminal staff, marshals, and customer service personnel on-site to ensure a hassle-free experience. Real-time updates on travel schedules and bus availability will be provided via PITX’s official platforms. Security personnel, including members of the Philippine National Police (PNP), will also be present to maintain safety. PITX will operate 24/7 during this period to accommodate all travelers.
