Three years straight: inDrive named World’s 2nd Most Downloaded Mobility App

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform operating across 48 countries, has been recognized as the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for the third consecutive year. This ranking, based on data from leading market intelligence firm Sensor Tower, underscores inDrive’s continued growth and strong market presence in 2024. Additionally, inDrive ranked as the fifth most downloaded app globally in the travel and navigation category.

With over 280 million global app downloads, inDrive now stands among the top five most downloaded travel apps, alongside industry leaders such as Google Maps and Waze. While its bid-based pricing model has contributed to its success in various markets, pricing structures are adapted to local conditions. In the Philippines, where bid-based pricing does not apply, inDrive prioritizes transparency in vehicle selection, distance from pick-up points, and fair pricing in accordance with local regulations.

inDrive’s Impact in the Philippines

Since its launch in the Philippines, inDrive has significantly influenced the local mobility sector by offering fair, transparent, and flexible ride-hailing services. Filipino consumers have responded positively to inDrive’s model, which allows passengers and drivers to make informed choices about their rides.

In January 2025, inDrive recorded a threefold increase in daily rides compared to its 2024 resumption, highlighting its growing acceptance in the country. The number of active users has doubled since the start of the year, and active drivers have increased by 96%, reinforcing inDrive’s role in fostering a competitive and driver-friendly mobility landscape.

Over the past 11 years, inDrive has expanded across various regions without over-reliance on any single market, demonstrating a universal demand for greater freedom of choice and reduced algorithmic control—core principles of its business model.

A Vision for the Future

inDrive’s expansion remains strong, with 6.1 million downloads recorded in December 2024 alone. Operating in 888 cities, the company continues to focus on providing accessible transportation solutions while diversifying its services beyond mobility.

Since its inception, inDrive passengers have collectively traveled 32 billion kilometers, equating to 123,500 years of travel time. In 2024, inDrive led ride-hailing app downloads in 11 key markets, including Egypt, Morocco, Nepal, Panama, and Jamaica.

Further broadening its impact, inDrive is venturing into financial services with the trial of inDrive.Money in Mexico and Colombia, aimed at improving lending accessibility for drivers. This initiative aligns with the company’s mission to positively impact 1 billion lives by 2030, with further market expansions planned for the coming years.

Arsen Tomsky, founder and CEO of inDrive, highlighted the company’s vision for Southeast Asia: “Maintaining our position as the second most downloaded ride-hailing app globally is a significant milestone. Southeast Asia remains one of the fastest-growing regions for urban mobility, presenting immense opportunities to empower communities through fair and innovative solutions. As we expand our presence in the Philippines and throughout Southeast Asia, our focus remains on fostering economic opportunities for drivers, providing transparent options for passengers, and addressing local mobility challenges with tailored solutions. Our mission is not only to be a service provider but also a trusted partner in shaping the future of transportation.”

As inDrive moves forward, it remains dedicated to its goal of positively impacting 1 billion lives by 2030 through sustainable growth, equitable mobility solutions, and community-driven initiatives.
