Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is adding another layer of confidence for buyers of its newest electrified and premium models with the launch of the Honda Secure Plus Extended Warranty Program. The new program extends vehicle warranty coverage for the Honda Prelude and selected variants of the new CR-V from the standard three (3) years to five (5) years at no additional cost.
The initiative is part of HCPI’s effort to strengthen the ownership experience and provide customers with added peace of mind as they invest in newer Honda vehicles. Under the program, vehicle warranty coverage increases from three years or 100,000 km to five years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. Meanwhile, the hybrid battery warranty remains at eight (8) years or 160,000 km.
Honda said the extended warranty package reflects the company’s commitment to long-term customer care, especially as more buyers consider hybrid and advanced mobility technologies.
Models and variants covered by the Honda Secure Plus Extended Warranty Program:
- New CR-V 2.0 VX e:HEV E-CVT (2026 year model)
- New CR-V 1.5 V Turbo HuNT CVT (2026 year model)
According to HCPI, the Honda Secure Plus coverage carries the same terms and protection as the brand’s standard vehicle warranty. To remain eligible, owners must continue following the prescribed Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) schedule at any authorized Honda Cars dealership nationwide.
The company also advised owners of covered vehicles to coordinate with their respective dealers regarding the availability and issuance of the Extended Warranty Booklet, which contains the full terms and conditions of the program.
The warranty upgrade comes at a time when after-sales support and ownership costs have become major considerations for Filipino car buyers. Extended warranty programs are now viewed not just as added perks, but as indicators of a brand’s confidence in product durability and reliability.
