Geely Motor Philippines has now opened the pre-selling for the Geely EX5 EM-i, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that’s set to go up against the likes of the BYD Sealion 6 and Ford Territory. Geely is offering the EX5 EM-i in two variants, Pro and Max, which are similar to the possible trim options of the upcoming Geely EX2 subcompact electric hatchback.

Pricing is set at P1,288,000 for the EX5 EM-i Pro and P1,468,000 for the EX5 EM-i Max, with the Pro as the entry variant and the Max positioned as the higher-spec trim. Of note, the Geely EX5 EM-i pairs an electric drive with a gasoline engine, which is said to offer more flexibility when it comes to managing fuel consumption.

Geely PH said that the EX5 EM-i can achieve up to 41.7 km/l (WLTP Fuel Consumption-Weighted, Combined). The car brand added that the EX5 EM-i also has a total range of over 1,000 kilometers on a full tank and single charge.

The Chinese car brand shared that the pre-selling or reservations for the EX5 EM-i are now open ahead of the model’s official launch, with early customers eligible for priority allocation, according to Geely PH.

Reservations and ownership support will be handled through Geely’s authorized dealership network nationwide. After-sales servicing and parts support for the EX5 EM-i will be managed through the same authorized network. Mall display activations are also scheduled across Metro Manila to allow consumers to see the EX5 EM-i up close.

Geely is also offering several limited-time promos, which include the Reserve & Save promo that runs from March 1 to 27, 2026, where a P1,000 reservation comes with a P10,000 discount. The other promo is the Born Super Hybrid, which runs from March 1 to May 31, 2026, offering P50,000 off on EX5 EM-i variants.

Adding to the list of promos is the Refer & Earn, which runs from March 3 to May 31, 2026, where both the referrer and the referred buyer receive P4,000 in periodic maintenance service (PMS) vouchers per successful referral. Lastly, the EX5 EM-i Nubia Raffle, which runs from March 5 to April 30, 2026, gives customers who purchase the vehicle a chance to win one of 20 ZTE Nubia Neo 5 smartphones.

Autocar’s Take

Geely Philippines has now opened the pre-selling books for the first of its several planned new vehicle launches. The Geely EX5 EM-i PHEV is a nice addition to Geely PH’s model lineup, as it now has a more formidable challenger to the likes of the BYD Sealion 6 and the Ford Territory, which are two crossover SUVs that have been proving their popularity in the local market.

The pre-selling period for the EX5 EM-i shows Geely PH’s commitment to launching several new models in the market, a strategy that it announced late last year. The new model launch is expected to drive Geely’s sales in the Philippines, with the car brand aiming to hit 7,000 unit sales this year.
