Fuso, through its official local distributor Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), closed 2025 on a strong note. Based on the latest sales report from the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), the Japanese commercial vehicle brand ranked third in overall unit sales across categories III, IV, and V, which cover commercial vehicle segments with a gross weight of more than three tons.
Building on the industry’s 35% sales growth in 2024, Fuso delivered a total of 1,461 units in 2025, translating to an 8.1% increase compared to its 2024 performance. The result comes amid a challenging operating environment, in which TMA and its member brands demonstrated volume resilience, driven by sustained demand for transport and logistics solutions despite the year’s economic headwinds.
According to SFP, Fuso’s growth was largely fueled by continued demand for the Canter light-duty truck lineup, a model that remains one of the go-to products for businesses in need of reliable and efficient transport solutions. The 2025 performance also reflects improvements in customer support systems and the strengthening of Fuso’s nationwide market presence.

Fuso continues to thrive as a mobility solutions provider for businesses across various industries, supporting operations of different scales. The company highlighted the role of long-standing customer partnerships nationwide, underscoring the importance of dependable commercial vehicles in sustaining business growth.
Central to SFP’s customer engagement strategy is its extensive dealership network, which serves as the primary touchpoint for both new and existing clients. This network enhances market accessibility, strengthens sales capabilities, and ensures continuity in after-sales service – a critical factor in the commercial vehicle sector.
“This milestone reflects the dedication of our dealer network and team. And of course, the continued trust of our valued customers across the Philippines. As we move forward, we remain committed to delivering quality service and dependable mobility solutions that keep our customers’ businesses moving. We look ahead to further strengthening partnerships as we continue contributing to the Philippines’ progress,” shared SFP President and CEO Yosuke Nishi.
Meanwhile, Cho Kyu-Sang, Vice President of Daimler Truck Sales & Marketing Southeast Asia, also congratulated the local business arm of Fuso, citing strong customer focus and business execution across both sales and after-sales services as key contributors to the achievement.
Autocar’s Take
Fuso Philippines’ 2025 podium finish is notable not just for the ranking, but for what it signals about consistency in a demanding market. As observed, commercial vehicle buyers tend to prioritize uptime, service support, and long-term reliability. Fuso’s growth suggests these fundamentals are resonating with the company.
The continued strength of the Canter lineup, along with the emphasis on dealership and after-sales coverage, highlights a strategy that prioritizes long-term growth over short-term gains. In an industry closely tied to logistics and economic activity, Fuso’s result demonstrates the value of steady execution over headline-grabbing volume spikes.
