Denza is looking to make a statement at its first appearance at the annual Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), which is regarded as one of the major auto events in the Philippines. To do just that, Denza Philippines will be previewing the additions to its local lineup, the B5 and the B8, which are both plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV).

The Denza B5 PHEV is a midsize SUV that is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with dual motors and a 31.8 kWh battery in a four-wheel-drive configuration. It produces a combined power output of 687 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque, and it can go from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. Denza claims that the B5 PHEV SUV can deliver a combined maximum range of 975 kilometers (NEDC) and has a pure electric range of 100 kilometers (NEDC).

The B5 also comes with DiPilot, which is Denza’s advanced driver assistance system that includes features such as the adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, intelligent cruise control, and emergency lane keeping assist, among others.

It is also equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree view monitor, and a head-up display. This gives the impression that the Denza B5 comes with a modern-looking cabin.

Meanwhile, the Denza B8 PHEV is a full-size SUV that has a 2.0-liter gasoline engine paired with dual motors and a 36.9 kWh battery. It also comes with a four-wheel-drive configuration, and it generates 612 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. Autocar’s Take

Denza Philippines will be bringing an ensemble of vehicles to the upcoming MIAS, with the aim of making a strong impression, as it will be its first-ever participation at a major auto event in the country. And Denza is looking to do just that as it will be showcasing the B5 and the B8, which are 4×4 SUVs that come with a plug-in hybrid technology.

Aside from the B5 and the B8, Denza will also be highlighting the D9, which is a plug-in hybrid minivan that rivals the likes of the Toyota Alphard. Not just that, the car brand will also be tagging along the Z9 GT, a shooting brake or a wagon that features a sporty and assertive exterior.
