SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official importer, distributor, and service provider of BMW vehicles in the Philippines, has expanded the variant lineup of the X3 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Joining the trim options for the BMW X3 PHEV in the Philippines is the xLine, a variant that offers a styling package that leans on the rugged side.
The BMW X3 30e xDrive xLine PHEV comes with a bold and composed exterior design. BMW PH said that the xLine trim makes an immediate impression with its confident proportions and distinctive design language. It comes with an illuminated BMW Kidney Grille Iconic Glow, elegant satin-finished aluminum exterior accents, and striking 19-inch aerodynamic bicolour wheels. The BMW X3 xLine also has adaptive LED headlights, which are said to give the vehicle a commanding presence whether driving through the city or cruising on the open road.
As compared to the other X3 variant, the M Sport, the X3 xLine has a flat silver trim and a black accent on the front bumper. Turning to the side, the xLine still comes with crisp character lines, but it has black cladding fitted to the side, which is not present on the M Sport trim.
Inside, the BMW X3 xLine features a modern-looking cabin, highlighted by the two large screens on the dashboard, which are the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.9-inch infotainment system. The vehicle is also integrated with a Harman Kardon surround sound system, which is said to deliver exceptional audio quality. Adding texture to the cabin is the integration of piano black trims on the center console and steering wheel.

It also has sport seats for the driver and front passenger, complemented by electric seat adjustment with memory function and lumbar support. Three-zone automatic climate control allows occupants to personalize cabin temperatures, while the Travel and Comfort Package further enhances everyday convenience. Seamless access is provided through the Comfort Access System, creating a more effortless ownership experience.
In terms of safety, the X3 xLine PHEV comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems, including Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Driving Assistant Plus, and Parking Assistant Plus with 360-degree camera functionality.

The BMW X3 xLine PHEV features BMW’s latest plug-in hybrid technology. Its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers a combined power output of 299 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. BMW claims the X3 xLine PHEV can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. Meanwhile, the intelligent BMW eDrive system allows drivers to enjoy electric mobility for everyday commuting while retaining the flexibility and confidence required for longer journeys, according to the German car brand.
The BMW X3 30e xDrive xLine PHEV trim is now available in the Philippines at an introductory price of P4,498,000, which is currently P400,000 less than the X3 M Sport trim.

Autocar’s Take
BMW Philippines has expanded the variant options for the X3 PHEV. Aside from the M Sport trim, BMW PH is now also offering the xLine trim, which features a styling package that leans more on the rugged side. This explains why the X3 xLine PHEV trim comes with black cladding on its exterior, which is meant to make the vehicle look a bit more rugged. The addition of the xLine trim on the X3 range also means that consumers have more options when eyeing to drive home a brand-new BMW X3. As of this writing, the xLine trim is P400,000 less than the x3 M Sport.
