BMW bolsters its aftersales service with RSA Motors EDSA

BMW Philippines just opened RSA Motors EDSA, a service-only facility right on one of the city’s busiest stretches. Planted along EDSA in Wack-Wack, Mandaluyong (right across SM Megamall), it’s meant to give owners from all over Metro Manila a more convenient option for aftersales support—no need to trek across town just for maintenance. The facility was inaugurated by SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official importer and distributor of BMW vehicles and motorcycles in the Philippines.

“This facility has been purposefully designed and meticulously crafted to meet the evolving needs of our customers, delivering efficient and elevated aftersales support at the heart of the city. We are proud to take our aftersales experience to the next level for our loyal customers in the Philippines,” said Jacob Paolo L. Ang, President of SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp.

Unlike a typical dealership, RSA Motors EDSA skips the showroom and focuses on service and maintenance. It’s a notable change that shows how premium brands are reworking the ownership experience – especially for city dwellers, where getting in and out quickly can matter.

A standout feature here is BMW’s Retail.Next Service Reception Area. Forget the usual service counter – this space feels more like a lounge, with digital touches and a setup that’s designed to feel personal instead of just another transaction.

The idea is simple: you walk into a quieter, more upscale space, and get updates or consultations without the usual rush. It’s a direction more luxury brands are taking, mixing a bit of hospitality into the usual aftersales routine. BMW wants the whole process – from arrival to pickup – to feel smoother. It’s still a workshop visit, but the company is clearly working to take the usual headaches out of getting your car serviced.

RSA Motors EDSA also brings in BMW Service Fast Lane, which is all about getting routine maintenance and minor repairs done faster, without cutting corners on quality. The system streamlines intake and workflow, so common jobs don’t eat up your whole day. Inside, there are 10 dedicated work bays ready to handle everything in BMW’s growing local lineup – from gas-powered cars to plug-in hybrids and full EVs.

Autocar’s Take

BMW setting up a service-only spot along EDSA isn’t just about growing the brand – it’s a practical move. In Metro Manila, what matters most is getting in and out quickly, not having another place to window-shop.

The EV-ready setup also shows BMW is thinking ahead as more electric models arrive. As more electrified BMWs hit Philippine roads, having a service center that can handle EVs is quickly becoming a must-have, not just a nice extra.
