GAC Philippines intends to further establish itself in the local market by launching three new Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs) this July. GAC PH said that its new MPVs are poised to establish a comprehensive lineup spanning “entry-level essentials, mid-to-premium refinement, and elite luxury.” GAC’s upcoming trio of MPVs are the following: all-new GAC GN6, GAC E8 HEV, and the flagship GAC GN8 PHEV Executive.
GAC GN6
The GAC GN6 is a seven-seater MPV that is said to be designed for growing families. GAC PH added that the GN6 is built around practical everyday use, while featuring maximum space efficiency, intuitive safety, and reliable versatility. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine capable of delivering a maximum mileage range of up to 728 kilometers on a single 52-liter tank of fuel. The car brand claims it can achieve a 14 km/l fuel economy.
It also features 324 liters of luggage space, and it expands to 1,100 liters when the third-row seats are folded down. GAC said the GN6 can accommodate up to 14 20-inch suitcases.
GAC E8 HEV
The GAC E8 is a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) that’s said to feature an “exceptional, next-generation mobility experience for quality-oriented families.” It is powered by a 2.0 ATK hybrid-dedicated engine with a smooth 2-speed DHT transmission, which is said to deliver a maximum combined driving range of over 1,000 kilometers.
The E8 HEV features a super-long 2,930mm wheelbase and a flexible flat-floor layout offering an incredibly expansive cabin. Its second-row seats are equipped with zero-gravity configurations, ventilation, and deep-relaxation massage functions. It also has power-sliding doors, a low step-in height, 12 expansive windows for maximum cabin brightness, and advanced L2 intelligent driving assistance.
GAC GN8 PHEV
The GAC GN8 is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), a seven-seat MPV that’s set to go up against the MG 50 PHEV. GAC shared that the GN8 PHEV is an MPV that’s “engineered for premium large families and corporate clients.” It combines cutting-edge Plug-in Hybrid technology with an “uncompromising cabin experience.” The second-row captain’s chairs feature premium semi-aniline genuine leather seats, four-way adjustable leg rests, ventilation, heating, and specialized therapeutic massage functions.
GAC claims it has the capability to deliver a maximum combined driving range of up to 1,038 kilometers. Of note, GAC added that the GN8 PHEV can do a pure EV driving range of up to 120 kilometers (NEDC).

GAC Philippines wants to shake up the MPV segment by launching three new models that offer diverse powertrains, which include the traditional gasoline engine, hybrid engine, and plug-in hybrid. This allows GAC PH to have flexible model options for people who are shopping for a seven-seater MPV. It also allows GAC to have a counterpunch to the MG G50 PHEV, which is said to have been received by the market positively. GAC PH will officially launch the three new MPVs in July 2026.
