BAIC Philippines strengthened its position as an adventure-focused automotive brand by showcasing its rugged lineup at OutdoorFest 2026, held last February 21 to 22 at Parklinks in Pasig City. The brand used the country’s first large-scale outdoor lifestyle gathering to demonstrate how its vehicles are engineered for both city use and off-grid exploration.

At the center of BAIC’s display were specially outfitted overlanding builds designed to highlight real-world outdoor capability. The BAIC B60 Beaumont rEV 4×4 was presented as a mobile basecamp, equipped with accessories such as the Mammoth Summit Tent, Mammoth Awning, and Front Runner crossbars. The rig illustrated how the Chinese SUV can transform from a sleek urban transport to a fully functional adventure vehicle.

Another featured build emphasized versatility with a BAIC B30e Dune 4×4, equipped with a Mammoth crossbar and a slim-shell roof tent, highlighting the growing popularity of self-sufficient overlanding rigs among Filipino outdoor enthusiasts.

Aside from its static displays, BAIC encouraged visitors to experience its vehicles through on-site test drives. There, attendees were able to drive and get a better feel of the BAIC B30e Dune 4×4, BAIC B40 Ragnar 4×4, and the BAIC B60 Beaumont rEV 4×4. The opportunity allowed visitors and interested buyers to evaluate the models’ performance, comfort, and off-road readiness in a lifestyle-oriented environment.

According to BAIC Philippines Brand Head Timothy Sytin, the festive setting enabled the brand to demonstrate its capabilities beyond traditional showroom presentations. By integrating BAIC vehicles into an outdoor lifestyle context, the brand aimed to show how its products gave drivers the liberty to explore farther while maintaining practicality for daily use.

Distributed locally by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), BAIC continues to expand its presence in the Philippine market through a growing dealer network and diversified lineup that includes SUVs, crossovers, and electrified models. By participating in the OutdoorFest 2026, the company reiterated its commitment to combining rugged design, modern tech, and dependable performance as it builds stronger recognition among Filipino motorists and adventure-oriented enthusiasts.

Autocar’s Take

By joining the first-ever OutdoorFest, BAIC Philippines has proven that automotive brands must connect with buyers. Instead of relying solely on specifications, mall tours, or showroom displays, BAIC placed its vehicles directly within the lifestyle they are meant to serve. Overlanding and off-road travel continue to gain traction among Filipino motorists, making experiential events like the OutdoorFest a relevant part of the local auto industry.

The lifestyle event participation approach also helps newer brands build credibility by allowing potential customers to see and feel the vehicles firsthand. Going by the positive reception of the industry, this will be the first of many OutdoorFest events, and if BAIC is seeing good results out of this, things are looking bright for the brand in the years to come.
