
Off-road SUV and crossover specialist BAIC, which made its public debut at last month’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), is set for rapid growth with the addition of eight major auto groups to its nationwide dealership network. The new dealerships include ANGs Automotive Group (Iloilo), Angcore Motor Group (Davao), AutoSpeedyGo Group (Marilao), Automotive Icon Inc. (Alabang), Autonomics Motor Corp (Tuguegarao), Laus Auto Group (Pampanga), Magnet Motors (Cagayan De Oro), and Oro Autoworld (Zamboanga). Sales operations are scheduled to begin in June.
BAIC Philippines’ dealer partners were recognized at a signing ceremony held on May 22 at Cafe Aurora in Makati City. This event underscores the trust and confidence placed in BAIC Philippines and its official Philippine distributor, United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI).
In attendance at the event, alongside Chairman Sytin, were Group Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin, Chief Marketing Executive Lyn Manalansang Buena, and BAIC Brand Head and General Manager Christopher David Yu.

The initial lineup of BAIC models in the Philippine market includes the B40 Ragnar, B60 Beaumont, B80 Wagon—all body-on-frame true SUVs—and the X55 Verve and X7 Grandeza monocoque crossovers.
All BAIC vehicles are manufactured in the company’s state-of-the-art, fully automated plants in Shunyi, Beijing. These vehicles feature contemporary styling and modern comfort, convenience, and safety features. Higher-end models boast upscale amenities like huge touchscreen displays, automatic power tailgates, automatic LED headlamps, cruise control, Smart Key Entry System, power-adjustable seats, LCD instrument panels, panoramic sunroofs, leather seats, and 20″ alloy wheels. For safety and performance, the higher BAIC models come with multiple airbags, a full suite of advanced electronic driver-assist systems, and sophisticated four-wheel drive systems. All BAIC automobiles come with a 5-year warranty, underscoring the brand’s commitment to quality.
