BYD Cars Philippines is ramping up its expansion across the country as it looks to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible. Case in point: the Chinese brand has opened several new dealerships in key locations nationwide during the second quarter of 2026.

The latest additions strengthen the brand’s presence in Metro Manila, Luzon, and Mindanao, giving prospective buyers and existing owners easier access not only to BYD’s growing lineup of battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, but also to after-sales support and charging-related services. The expansion forms part of the company’s broader strategy to encourage more Filipinos to transition to electrified mobility.

According to BYD Cars Philippines, the newly opened facilities are designed to provide customers with a more convenient ownership experience from vehicle purchase to maintenance. Managing Director Bob Palanca said the company’s goal extends beyond selling electric vehicles, emphasizing that a reliable dealership and service network is essential in giving buyers confidence to make the switch.

In Metro Manila, BYD has opened dealerships in Valenzuela and Otis. The Valenzuela branch, located across SM City Valenzuela, is now the brand’s largest dealership in the National Capital Region, featuring an 11-bay service facility that also supports motorists traveling between Metro Manila and Northern Luzon. Meanwhile, the Otis dealership serves customers in Manila with a dedicated showroom complemented by a separate 10-bay service center nearby.

South of the capital, BYD has expanded into Dasmariñas, Cavite, where the new dealership strengthens ACMobility’s growing Philippine EV Spine network while making electrified vehicles more accessible to residents across the province.

Northern and Central Luzon also received new investments through the opening of dealerships in Angeles, Pampanga, as well as La Union and Rosario. The Angeles facility is positioned near Clark Freeport Zone, while the La Union dealership offers a full-service customer experience that includes sales, maintenance, after-sales support, and charging. The Rosario branch further improves the brand’s visibility in the province. The expansion likewise reaches Western Mindanao through the opening of BYD Zamboanga, the company’s first dealership in the city.

Combined with ACMobility’s expanding charging network, the dealership rollout reflects BYD’s continued effort to reduce barriers to EV ownership. As competition in the local EV market intensifies, having a nationwide sales and service footprint may prove just as important as launching new models.

Autocar’s Take

Expanding a dealership network may not generate the same excitement as launching a new vehicle, but it could have a bigger impact on the adoption of electric mobility. BYD Cars Philippines recognizes that buyers need confidence in after-sales support as much as they need competitive pricing. By bringing sales, service, and charging access closer to more communities, the company is addressing one of the biggest concerns surrounding EV ownership. If this pace continues, BYD’s nationwide expansion could help make EVsa more practical choice for many Filipinos today.
