The 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is underway, and the 17 participating car brands are all set to launch their respective showstoppers. Among the car brands that will join PIMS 2026 is Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), which released a teaser image suggesting that it will be debuting three vehicles, which could include the Land Cruiser FJ.

The teaser shared by Toyota PH features four vehicles, but only one car is clearly shown, which is the bZ4X battery electric vehicle (BEV). The three other vehicles in the background are blacked out, but TMP gave away some clues as to what the possible vehicles are, which will be highlighted at the 10th PIMS.

Among the clues that TMP gave is that its booth at the PIMS 2026 will highlight a range of options for different lifestyles and priorities, including the efficiency of internal combustion engines (ICE), the strength of diesel, the practicality of hybrids (HEV), and the innovation of battery electric vehicles (BEV).

Now, one of the blacked-out cars that Toyota could be bringing to the show is the Land Cruiser FJ, which is the shadowy figure at the rear right side of the bZ4X. The roof rails seen in the teaser image are somewhat of a dead giveaway, as the roof rails are one of the distinctive features of the Land Cruiser FJ, which, by the way, is already available in Thailand. The Land Cruiser FJ is powered by a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE gasoline engine, which is essentially an internal combustion engine (ICE).

Moving to the image on the rear left side of the bZ4X, Toyota PH could introduce the all-new Hilux at PIMS 2026. The hint that the Hilux could be among the cars to be showcased is the design layout of its side mirrors, which looks strikingly close to that of the next-gen Toyota pickup truck. When it comes to powertrain options, Toyota PH could introduce the Hilux at PIMS 2026, featuring a diesel engine and a BEV configuration. After all, the Hilux BEV is already listed among the recognized electric vehicles in the Department of Energy’s (DOE) online portal.

Meanwhile, the last possible car that Toyota could bring to the upcoming PIMS 2026 is the Land Cruiser 300 HEV. The prominent fender flares, the wide grille, and the bold front bumper all point towards the probability that TMP will unleash the Land Cruiser 300 HEV. Previously, we reported that the Land Cruiser 300 HEV is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine with a single motor-generator, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This hybrid powertrain produces 457 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque.

Autocar’s Take

Toyota Motor PH is launching a hat-trick at the upcoming 10th PIMS. From the looks of it, we could expect that Toyota will be showcasing the Land Cruiser FJ, the next-gen Hilux, and the Land Cruiser 300 HEV.  Safe to say, these cars have their own market or have their own respective set of potential buyers, which shows Toyota PH’s diverse model lineup, making it easier for potential car buyers to drive home the most suited Toyota vehicle based on their lifestyle.

The 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI). This year’s edition carries the theme “Forward in Every Drive,” reflecting the industry’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainable progress.
