Nissan has unveiled the all-new Juke as an all-electric vehicle during the car brand’s Vision event, held at the company’s global headquarters in Japan. Nissan said that the all-new Juke electric vehicle (EV) will be part of its electrification strategy in Europe, expanding its model portfolio.
The all-new Juke EV is part of the upcoming Nissan models under its revamped product strategy, which will involve narrowing the number of Nissan models from 56 to 45. The Japanese automaker plans to do this by discontinuing low-profit models and strengthening investment in growth areas. As such, it has divided its model categorization into the following:
– Heartbeat Model: A model that embodies the essence of Nissan, representing the brand’s emotional value and innovative spirit.
– Core Model: A model that supports the business through global scale and stability.
– Growth model: A model that drives the expansion of new demand.
– Partner Model: A model that expands market coverage through disciplined collaboration.
The all-new Nissan Juke EV falls under the Core Model category, specifically for Europe. This has been revealed by the car brand during its Vision event.

The all-new Nissan Juke EV comes with an angular exterior design, which could easily stand out when driven on the road. With that, we can’t help but mention that the all-new Juke EV is like the production version of the Nissan Hyper Punk concept that was revealed at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. It continues the Juke’s legacy as a crossover that completely turns heads due to its quirky design, and Nissan is aware of this intent.
“[The] Juke has always stood for bold design and a willingness to challenge convention. With this third generation, we are bringing that spirit into the electric age. As our first fully electric Juke, it will help us reach new customers while expanding choice across our electrified range,” said Clíodhna Lyons, who is Nissan Africa, Middle East, India, Europe & Oceania Region Vice President for Product, Brand & Marketing Strategy.
The all-new, all-electric Juke will be built at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant in the UK, reinforcing the site’s role in the company’s global EV strategy. Nissan added that the all-new Juke EV will be officially launched sometime in 2027.

Autocar’s Take
Nissan is revamping its business strategy to be able to serve more customers, which is intended to yield more sales to the brand. This is a good move since narrowing and optimizing its product portfolio can allow the brand to maximize every model it has in its arsenal. With the all-electric Juke, Nissan aims to further expand its portfolio in the European market. It sees the Juke as a good fit in Europe as it categorizes it as one of its Core Models in the said market.
Categorizing it as one of its core models makes sense since the Juke has around 1.5 million customers across Europe since its launch in 2010.
