A growing shift in Filipino fashion is now extending beyond wardrobes and into the way people move through the city. The rise of “modern classic” style, where timeless design meets contemporary sensibilities, is shaping not only clothing choices but also lifestyle decisions, including mobility.
Take, for instance, the Honda Giorno+ scooter, the Japanese brand’s latest personal mobility model to hit the local urban roads. Designed around a modern-classic concept, the Giorno+ carries a clean and refined look, with smooth lines and subtle detailing that give it a balanced, understated presence on the road. At a glance, the Giorno+ radiates an aura that does not demand attention but still stands out for the right reasons.
Color plays a key role in that appeal. For the local market, Honda offers the Giorno+ in Pearl Retro Blue, Pearl Organic Green, Pearl Jubilee White, and Turmeric Yellow. Each shade leans into classic tones that evoke nostalgia, but with a fresh vibe, giving riders options that range from low-key to expressive.

Underneath its stylish exterior, the Giorno+ is built for everyday use. It runs on a 125cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine designed to deliver smooth and responsive performance. Honda boasts that the engine is particularly useful for stop-and-go city traffic. It also offers fuel efficiency of up to 47.0 km/L, helping keep daily running costs manageable.
As for riding comfort and convenience, the scooter comes with a V-matic automatic transmission, making it accessible even for new riders. Its suspension setup includes a telescopic front fork and a unit swing rear system. Braking performance is handled by a hydraulic front disc and rear drum combination for stable stopping power.
According to Honda, the Giorno+ is sized with urban mobility in mind, which considers narrow roads, tight alleys, and populated streets. As such, the Giorno+ features a 780 mm seat height, a compact build, cast wheels, and a 5.4-liter fuel tank. These elements make it well-suited for navigating the concrete jungle on a daily basis.
Priced at P102,900, the Honda Giorno+ is now available at Honda 3S shops and authorized dealers nationwide.

Autocar’s Take
Mobility brands like Honda are beginning to understand that younger consumers are no longer choosing vehicles purely out of necessity. There is a growing expectation that even practical purchases should reflect personal taste. Another reason for this shift is the satisfying feeling of looking cool on the road, not just because of the outfit, but more importantly because of the ride.
The Giorno+ taps into that shift without overcomplicating it. It does not try to be futuristic or overly aggressive in design. Instead, it leans into familiarity, then refines it. In a market often driven by bold claims, there is something reassuringly confident about offering a product that prioritizes balance — style, usability, and everyday relevance.
