Green and Smart Mobility (GSM), the ride-hailing and taxi service under Vietnam’s Vingroup, has launched the Green SM Platform, a shared business platform in the Philippines and Indonesia. This new electric vehicle (EV) platform offers VinFast owners and renters the opportunity to become driver partners on the Green SM Platform.
GSM said that VinFast EV owners and renters can register to become service partners on the Green SM Platform. The company’s new EV platform is designed to expand its driver network and vehicle supply, while “ensuring all operations are delivered under consistent, professional service standards.”
Once VinFast owners and renters have registered successfully, they will undergo training programs that cover operational procedures and service standards to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience. GSM claims that the Green SM Platform offers a competitive revenue-sharing model of up to 90 percent. It also includes performance-based incentive schemes, which are said to allow driver partners to maintain a stable income.
“Green SM Platform is not only a step forward in service expansion, but also a solution to accelerate the transition to green mobility across Southeast Asia. By building an open platform with high service standards, we aim to rapidly increase the number of electric vehicles in operation, delivering a sustainable, modern, and reliable mobility experience for the community,” said GSM Global CEO Nguyen Van Thanh.

On the other hand, Green GSM Philippines, in collaboration with VinFast Philippines, introduced the Green EV rental program, aimed at offering an alternative for drivers in the ride-hailing industry and transport services amid the continuous upward trend of fuel prices due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Green GSM noted that it is rolling out the program with VF 5 and Limo Green models, supported by comprehensive policies covering registration, insurance, and operations. This enables drivers to join the platform with ease and gradually build stable operations, with income potential aligned with local market conditions and business needs.
VinFast PH is running the Trade Gas For Electric campaign until April 30, 2026. The said campaign offers buyers of VinFast EVs an additional three percent discount on cars and five percent on motorcycles. These incentives can be combined with existing promos, making EV adoption more accessible and valuable.

Autocar’s Take
Vietnam’s Vingroup is rolling out several programs that are tailored to encourage the market to switch to EVs. Its initiatives are nice since it diversifies the options available to consumers, as well as provide more value propositions for car buyers to consider making that EV switch.
More incentives, bang-for-the-buck vehicles, and expanded charging infrastructure are just some of the factors that would help the market adopt EVs. Green GSM, as well as VinFast, understands this, which is why it has been introducing several programs that would entice the local market into driving electric. Among the perks is VinFast PH’s extended free EV charging program that runs until March 31, 2029.
