IsuzuPH highlights innovations at the 9th PIMS

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), under the leadership of President Tetsuya Fujita, took center stage at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) to reveal its latest innovations aimed at enhancing driving experiences and supporting the nation’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality. Themed “Innovations For You,” IPC’s showcase spotlighted a range of vehicles designed to meet the dynamic needs of personal and commercial customers alike.

“This year, every vehicle we present underscores our commitment to blending superior performance with modern solutions, designed to address both personal and commercial needs,” shared IPC President Tetsuya Fujita. “This line-up reflects our dedication to delivering the best driving experiences while empowering businesses across the country to succeed as we move closer to carbon neutrality.”

New Product Line-Up

At the forefront of the showcase was the Isuzu D-MAX 4×4, offered in two versions: the standard model with a Differential Lock System and Rough Terrain Mode. Both versions come equipped with advanced safety features, including the 5-Star Safety ADAS, 360-degree Around View Monitor (AVM), Digital Video Recorder (DVR), and wireless charging and connectivity options.

IPC also presented a customized D-MAX 4×4, tailored for 4×4 and overlanding adventures, featuring rugged add-ons like a TJM Steel Bumper, Modular Side Step, and Rear Bumper. Outfitted with a Manley Canopy Camper with a 200Ah lithium battery, 85-liter water tank, portable air conditioning, 270-degree awning, and a portable shower, this setup is ready for the toughest terrains with 17” Method Wheels and Nitto Grappler off-road tires.

On the luxury end, IPC introduced the Isuzu mu-X Executive Edition, an SUV reimagined for comfort and style with its Red and Black leather interior and VIP second-row seats featuring power recline, leg rests, massage functions, USB/Type-C charging ports, and ambient lighting. The model’s 20” Black Rhino wheels with Nitto S City Tires elevate both its look and performance.

Innovations for Business and Logistics

IPC also unveiled the Isuzu TRAVIZ Concept Cargo Van, a reliable solution for logistics and last-mile deliveries. With a secure cargo area designed to carry up to 1,660 kilograms, this TRAVIZ model is built for efficient, heavy-duty business operations.

For larger operations, IPC featured the new Isuzu EW5 Tractor Head in its outdoor truck display. This powerhouse, equipped with a GH11E EURO V engine, generates 415PS of power and 1,990 Nm of torque, coupled with a 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) to excel in the hauling industry, cementing Isuzu’s position as a leader in commercial trucking.

Driving the Transition to Carbon Neutrality

One of the show’s highlights was IPC’s Isuzu N-Series EV Concept Truck, a light-duty electric truck powered by an HP11 electric motor. Capable of 90kW of power and 370Nm of torque, this truck is ideal for urban deliveries, offering a range of about 115 kilometers on a 40kWh battery. With support for both Type 1 and CHAdeMO rapid charging, the N-Series EV Concept combines efficiency with environmental responsibility.

Fujita emphasized the holistic approach of Isuzu’s EVISION Plan, which supports customers in their transition to electric fleets. “Through the EVISION Plan, we provide a Total Solution Program that includes fleet assessments, optimized charging schedules, charger recommendations, and comprehensive fleet management support. Our goal is to facilitate a seamless shift to electric vehicles without compromising performance or efficiency.”

A Commitment to Innovation and Customer Success

With this innovative line-up, Isuzu Philippines reaffirms its mission to create vehicles that serve the best interests of its customers. Whether for personal enjoyment or to support business operations, these new products are crafted to meet the needs of today’s drivers.
