Lexus has revealed the 2027 NX, which features refreshed styling and the car brand’s latest hybrid technology. The Lexus NX is expected to be introduced across global markets towards the end of 2026.
The 2027 Lexus NX gets a bolder and more composed stance. Its mid-cycle design update is instantly noticeable when you look at the front end. The new NX features a wide front grille, complemented by sleek LED headlights that stretch along the edges. The headlights create a sharp finish, giving the Lexus NX an assertive look. It also has an angular bumper along with black accents on the chin.
Turning to the side, the refreshed NX has crisp character lines that run seamlessly from the front fenders to the rear. It is also fitted with prominent fender-flare accents and a stylish set of 18- or 20-inch wheels, depending on the variant. The door mirrors and body cladding have a dark finish, accentuating the NX’s sense of “solid, sculpted sportiness and powerful stance.”
At the rear, the Lexus NX has modern styling, highlighted by LED taillights that occupy the vehicle’s width, creating a distinctive finish as well as increasing visibility when driving at night. It also has a subtle roof spoiler that’s integrated with a third brake light. The new NX is finished off with a large bumper that’s accented by black cladding.
Inside, the NX has a revamped cabin layout, creating a refined and more streamlined look compared to the outgoing model. The significant changes seen in the new NX are the following: horizontal dashboard layout, new instrument panel design, and a new steering wheel that gives a more modern appeal than the old version. Lexus said that the horizontal orientation of the instrument panel creates a roomy, open feel while also giving the driver an improved forward view.
Interior colors (depending on the variant) include a new Clay Red, together with Solis White, Hazel, and Black. The NX F Sport models, on the other hand, are available with a new, more vibrant Red upholstery.
The new NX is equipped with the sixth-generation Lexus hybrid technology in both its full hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
In the new hybrid systems, the power control unit (PCU) and transaxle are combined in a single, compact unit, following the same principle as the eAxle featured in Lexus’ battery electric vehicles. This architecture, according to Lexus, saves 10 kilograms in weight and 10 cm in height, which is said to help lower the car’s centre of gravity, with a consequent benefit to stability and handling.
The 2027 Lexus NX comes in three flavors: the 300h, 350h, and the 450h+ plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV). The NX 300h has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, producing a combined power output of 200 horsepower. Meanwhile, the NX 350h is available in either two- or all-wheel drive. The power output ranges from 200 horsepower to 245 horsepower, depending on the market. Lastly, the NX 450h+ PHEV generates 292 horsepower to 326 horsepower. All 2027 Lexus NX models come with an e-CVT.

The new Lexus NX features a bolder and more composed exterior, while also looking more modern than the outgoing model. While it comes with a bolder finish, Lexus still integrated the NX’s exterior with sharp design, as seen in the headlights and the crisp character lines. The interior is also a nice step forward. Its cleaner and more refined cabin layout creates a better ambiance while also achieving a clutter-free dashboard. The vehicle controls on the dashboard are seamlessly integrated, adding to the NX’s more refined cabin. Not to mention, the NX also comes with Lexus’ latest hybrid tech, making it a worthy mid-cycle update.
