Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) was chosen by Toyota Motor Asia (TMA) to conduct the first-ever technical training for Body, Paint, and Estimation (BPE) for instructors from Toyota Asia affiliates. The Japanese car brand said that this further strengthens TMP’s role in the regional automotive industry.
TMP shared that the BPE regional training, initiated under the global direction of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), ensures consistent after-sales skill development across markets in alignment with the competency standards of Toyota.
Toyota’s regional headquarters shared that it has recognized TMP instructors’ expertise and leadership in training delivery, as well as the company’s adequate facilities and equipment, as essential to the success of the flagship BPE regional training program.
Toyota PH said that it has already conducted the first leg of the training, which ran from September 7 to 18, 2026, at its head office and manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Four Body Repair Instructors from Toyota Asia affiliates in Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, and Pakistan underwent body repair lectures and exercises. They were guided by TMP instructors through theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
TMA’s BPE regional training is slated to run until 2029, which is expected to lay the groundwork for a sustained collaboration between TMP and TMA. Of note, TMP will be conducting three training courses in its first year to accommodate trainees across Toyota Asia affiliates.
The car brand said that this also allows TMP to further sharpen its training capabilities, which will help the company to deliver the best products and services in line with Toyota’s global “Best in Town” philosophy.
This year, TMP’s BPE team earned two global Toyota certifications from TMA in ‘Paint Instructor Course Step 1’ and ‘Estimation Instructor Course Step 1’. Meanwhile, the TMP team already has training lined up until 2027 for Toyota, Masters, and Professional global certifications.
Toyota PH continues to prove its expertise in aftersales service, which was also showcased at the 2026 Toyota Asia Pacific Skills Contest (ASPAC), where TMP emerged as one of the biggest winners, bringing home six medals across all the categories.
