Despite the generally slowed growth of the luxury car segment in the country in 2025, BMW Philippines recorded a strong double-digit sales performance as it closed the year on a positive note.

According to SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp., the official local importer and distributor of BMW vehicles, it delivered a total of 950 units to customers in 2025. This figure represents a 17% increase in sales vs. the company’s 2024 sales record of 815 units. The 2025 sales rebound was achieved despite the overall Philippine luxury automotive market declining by 12% during the year.

Momentum accelerated sharply in the final quarter of 2025, with BMW Philippines retailing more than 100 units per month. The German car brand attributed this late-year surge to a product mix that balances traditional luxury with electrification, most particularly its line of plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) offerings.

Among BMW Philippines’ top-selling models in 2025 were the BMW X3 30e xDrive M Sport PHEV and the BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport PHEV, both of which played a central role in driving sales volume. These were complemented by strong demand for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles such as the BMW 520i, BMW X1, and the BMW 3 Series.

According to BMW Philippines, the sustained demand throughout the year resulted in key inventory lines selling out strongly. The brand has confirmed the conclusion of sales of the previous generation BMW X3 (G01), as well as the current inventories of the BMW 3 Series and BMW X1. This move is in preparation for its upcoming model introductions throughout 2026.

Building on this performance, BMW Philippines says that it’s gearing up for the introduction of the BMW X1 Plug-in Hybrid in February. The company also announced its continuing investments in customer experience, including plans for a new showroom, additional service facilities, and a comprehensive renovation of existing sites to align with BMW’s standards for modern luxury and top-quality after-sales service.
