
MG Motor Philippines has officially opened the doors to its newest dealership, MG Dumaguete. Serving as part of the brand’s ongoing mission to expand its market presence in Visayas, MG Dumaguete was formally opened last January 15, 2026, making its full integration as one of MG’s authorized showroom networks in the country.
Located along North National Highway in Dumaguete City, the dealership benefits from high visibility and accessibility, positioning it as a convenient location for customers in Negros Oriental and nearby provinces. The strategic location places MG closer to regional markets outside major urban centers.
MG Dumaguete’s operations trace back to October 2022, when it started off as a sales extension point of MG Cebu Talisay. At the time, it supported early market development in the province and helped establish MG’s brand presence. As customer demand increased and the local team expanded, MG Dumaguete gradually scaled its operations. By 2024, both its showroom and service center were already functional and serving customers, even prior to its recent official inauguration as a full-on dealership. In August 2025, MG Dumaguete formally began operating as an MG-branded showroom, strengthening its visibility in the local market.

MG Dumaguete is one of nine MG dealerships owned and operated by the Gateway Group, a multi-brand automotive dealership management and operations company. The facility adopts MG’s latest black showroom concept, adhering to the brand’s current global corporate identity. It can showcase six to seven display units, and is supported by a fully equipped service area with two lifters and two additional working bays, ensuring after-sales capability to meet customer needs.

Gateway Group Executive Vice President Michael Goho highlighted that the official opening of MG Dumaguete as a full-scale dealership represents the culmination of a year of groundwork and growing consumer trust in Negros Oriental. Since becoming operational to help drive sales for MG Cebu Talisay, the dealership has focused on expanding market coverage, improving customer experience, and laying the foundation for sustained growth in its designated market area.
