When Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) reintroduced the Tamaraw late last year, its focus was to help Filipino business owners thrive. This is why the Tamaraw is now a pickup truck under TMP’s “Utility Vehicles” category so people can utilize its flexibility for many business needs.
This focus is what led TMP to bring in the new Tamaraw Food Truck, Mobile Store, and Wing Van body configurations to help business owners reach a wider market, seeing how many Filipino entrepreneurs are engaged in micro, small, and medium enterprise or MSMEs. Examples of these include mobile coffee bars, sari-sari stores, logistics, among others.
The Toyota Tamaraw Food Truck is TMP’s answer to the thriving on-the-go food business. It features food-grade interior materials, a working water system with clean and wastewater tanks, and a functional layout for food and beverage prep. For easier serving or for customers who prefer dining on location, the Tamaraw Food Truck is equipped with a foldable side table and a sizable service window.

For retail businesses, TMP offers the Tamaraw Mobile Store, a customizable mobile storefront. Sari-sari store owners who want to extend their business to a wider scope can benefit from the unit’s host of features. These include a wide-opening side window, folding table, and lighting for merchandise showcase. It also comes with cabinets for storing additional stocks or utilities. For safety, TMP installed jackstands at the rear so the truck can be more stable in case the business rush intensifies.

As for service-focused businesses, the Toyota Tamaraw Wing Van offers flexibility and ease of use. It has wing-type side doors for easier service and lockable storage areas for securing valuables. TMP sees that entrepreneurs engaged in logistics, car detailing, events, salons, and other similar service-oriented businesses can benefit from the Tamaraw Wing Van’s capabilities as a workhorse.

All three Toyota Tamaraw business variants are powered by a diesel-fed 2.4-liter engine that delivers 150 hp and 343 Nm of torque. This is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Tamaraw Food Truck is retailed at P1,540,000. The Tamaraw Mobile Store, on the other hand, comes at P1,490,000. Finally, the Tamaraw Wing Van is available with an SRP of P1,450,000.
