Kia Philippines has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) lineup yet again with the official debut of the EV3 subcompact crossover, joining other Kia EVs in the Philippines such as the EV9. The Kia EV3 is also charged up to go up against segment rivals such as the BYD Atto 2.
The Kia EV3 is offered with a sole GL variant in the Philippines. Like its other Kia EV siblings, it comes with a sleek yet sharp exterior design, giving it a unique modern look. The Kia EV3 has a composed front fascia that’s highlighted by sharp-looking LED headlights, which are complemented by LED daytime running lights that sort of create a number 7 graphic due to their orientation.
Turning to the side, the EV3 has an assertive stance due to the prominent wheel arches that are integrated with black cladding. The black cladding can also be seen on the doors, while the flat silver accent gives the right amount of accent to the EV3’s side profile. Crisp character lines can also be seen on the side, and the EV3 has a stylish set of 17-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with standard roof racks, which add more utility.
The rear looks as modern as the front. It has a boxy rear design, which adds to the EV3’s unique styling. It has distinctive LED taillights, a large bumper that has a flat silver trim, a spoiler, and a sharkfin antenna.
Inside, the Kia EV3 comes with a sleek and refined interior. It features leather material on the steering wheel and seats. Speaking of the latter, the driver gets an eight-way power seat adjustment with lumbar support, while the front passenger seat has manual adjustment with a height adjuster. The rear seats, on the other hand, feature a 60:40 split-folding function, making the EV3’s cabin versatile, especially when you need extra space for cargo. One of the unique features inside the EV3 is the sliding tray design, seen on the center console. This gives flexible storage for an assortment of items.
The EV3 features a straightforward and modern dashboard layout, giving the cabin a refined finish. It has a full panoramic display, which comprises a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 5.3-inch climate control screen, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. There are also multiple USB-C charging ports throughout the cabin, and two wireless charging pads for smartphones.
In terms of safety, the Kia EV3 has standard airbags at the front, side, and curtain positions. It also has an anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, hill start assist control, downhill brake control, among others. The EV3 is also equipped with the DriveWise Advanced Driver Assistance System, which includes advanced smart cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane follow assist, safe exit warning, forward collision avoidance assist, among many others.
The Kia EV3 is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor along with an 83 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It generates a maximum power output of 201 horsepower and 283 Nm of torque. Kia claims that the EV3 can deliver a maximum range of 511 kilometers based on NEDC. In terms of charging, Kia shared that the EV3 can juice up from 10 percent to 80 percent in five hours and 20 minutes using an 11kW AC charger. Meanwhile, using a fast 350kW DC charger, the EV3 can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 29 minutes.
The all-new Kia EV3 is available at an introductory price of P1,868,000 (regular SRP: P1,898,000). It also includes a wall charger and a battery warranty for 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.

Kia Philippines has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) lineup with the introduction of the EV3. This is a good addition for Kia PH, as it will have a challenger in the electric subcompact crossover segment. As such, the Kia EV3 is set to go up against the likes of the BYD Atto 2, which was launched in the local market back in July 2026. Of note, BYD is offering the Atto 2 with two powertrain options, EV and plug-in hybrid EV, giving consumers flexible options when shopping for the Atto 2.
