The Jaecoo EJ6 is taking a different approach to electric mobility in the Philippines, combining the familiar shape and proportions of an SUV with an all-electric powertrain and equipment aimed at both city driving and more adventurous use.
According to Omoda & Jaecoo, the EJ6 is now available through the Jaecoo dealer network nationwide, giving Filipino buyers another option in the growing electric SUV market. The model is offered locally in all-wheel-drive (AWD) form, with the brand positioning it as an EV that does not sacrifice SUV capability in the move toward electrification.
The EJ6 AWD is powered by a 69.77 kWh LFP battery, with Omoda & Jaecoo claiming outputs of up to 275 hp and 385 Nm of torque. The company says the SUV can deliver up to 421 km of NEDC driving range and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.5 seconds.
Those numbers are complemented by dimensions and hardware intended to support more than everyday urban use. The EJ6 measures 4,342 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, and 1,741 mm high, riding on a 2,715-mm wheelbase. Omoda & Jaecoo says its 225-mm ground clearance, 32-degree approach angle, 34-degree departure angle, and 600-mm wading depth give the electric SUV added ability when road conditions get difficult.

The EJ6 rides on a set of 245/55 R19 tires, with MacPherson struts up front and an H-arm multi-link setup at the rear. Charging comes through a 6.6-kW AC system or up to 80-kW DC fast charging, giving owners options depending on where and how they use the vehicle.
Inside, the EJ6 puts a significant emphasis on technology. Omoda & Jaecoo highlights its AIMOGA intelligent mobility and interaction technology, alongside a 15.6-inch infotainment display and 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50W wireless charger, ventilated seats, a panoramic skylight, intelligent voice control, and an eight-speaker Pioneer audio system are also included.
Safety technology is another major part of the package, with the EJ6 offering up to 13 Advanced Driver Assistance System features. A 360-degree HD panoramic camera with an under-chassis view is designed to provide additional visibility when parking or maneuvering, while six airbags complement its active and passive safety systems.
Priced at P1,799,000, the Jaecoo EJ6 AWD offers to the Philippine market a proposition that goes beyond simply being another electric vehicle. Omoda & Jaecoo’s pitch is straightforward: buyers can move to electric power without giving up the ground clearance, all-wheel-drive capability, and versatility they expect from an SUV.

Autocar’s Take
The Jaecoo EJ6 is interesting because it does not try to hide its SUV identity in the name of electrification. Its 225-mm ground clearance, AWD layout, and claimed 600-mm wading depth give it a more adventurous brief than many urban-focused EVs. The 275 hp output also makes the EJ6 look reasonably lively on paper.
At P1.799 million, however, buyers will naturally look beyond the numbers and consider charging access, real-world range, after-sales support, and overall practicality. Still, Omoda & Jaecoo has put together a package that makes the EJ6 worth considering for Filipino drivers who want electric power without giving up SUV versatility.
