Hyundai Motor Company wants to make the cabin of its select vehicles unique, vibrant, and special by integrating a new display theme that will put a smile on the faces of Pokémon enthusiasts.
Hyundai has teamed up with Pokémon Korea as it launched new display themes for its connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) infotainment cluster display. Hyundai and Pokémon Korea have released two display theme options to choose from: ‘Pokémon Pikachu Lightning Theme’ and ‘Pokémon Ditto World Theme’.
The Korean automaker said that the Pokémon Pikachu Lightning Theme offers the charm of the electric Pokémon Pikachu, while the Pokémon Ditto World Theme offers the charm of Metamon’s infinite transformation.
The Pokémon-themed ccNC infotainment cluster display transforms the instrument cluster and the infotainment visuals of select Hyundai vehicles to feature character graphics, themed navigation driving information, as well as animated startup and power-off videos.
Aside from making the cabin unique, Hyundai shared that the Pokémon-themed cluster display intends to make its vehicles a space for relaxation and making memories with family. By integrating Pokémon into its ccNC infotainment cluster display, Hyundai believes that this can become an “emotional link that fosters empathy between parents and children.”
The Korean car brand added that its collaboration with Pokémon “reflects the needs of customers who want to decorate and express their own style through their automobile as a means of transportation. In line with the era of connected cars, we will continue to increase the value of the experience that customers can feel in their vehicles.”
The Pokémon-themed ccNC infotainment cluster display can be purchased at the Hyundai Blue Link Store through the My Hyundai application. Hyundai noted that the ‘Pokémon Pikachu Lightning Theme’ and ‘Pokémon Ditto World Theme’ are compatible with the following vehicles: all-new Palisade, Ioniq 9, all-new Nexo, Ioniq 6, Sonata, and Staria. More Hyundai vehicles are set to be compatible with the Pokémon-themed display, and can be downloaded through an over-the-air (OTA) software update.

By offering two Pokémon-themed ccNC infotainment cluster display options, Hyundai is giving Pokémon enthusiasts a treat and probably more reasons to get a Hyundai for those people who are shopping for a brand-new car.
Of note, this is not the first time that we have seen Pokémon or Pikachu integrated into a vehicle. Mini also collaborated with Pokémon through its Concept Aceman, which was debuted at the 2022 Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany back in 2022.
