EVOxTerra, Inc., the official local distributor of Hongqi vehicles, has made a bold move as 2025 winds down. The Chinese carmaker recently joined the big league as the newest member of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI). The move is seen as a significant step for the brand’s expansion in the local electrified vehicle segment.
According to Hongqi Philippines President Rashid Delgado, joining CAMPI aligns closely with the brand’s priorities. He noted that Hongqi shares CAMPI’s advocacies on electric vehicle (EV) growth, road safety, and continuous industry development, while also preparing to introduce new EV models to address the increasing demand for premium and future-ready vehicles in the Philippines. The executive went on to say, “Hongqi Philippines is looking to conclude the year strongly by officially becoming the newest member of CAMPI.”
Delgado’s statement holds true as joining CAMPI brings about a “win-win situation” for both its branding and the local automotive industry. That’s because CAMPI is the country’s leading automotive association, representing major vehicle manufacturers and distributors while playing a key role in industry standards, policy advocacy, and sector development. Hongqi Philippines’ membership reinforces its long-term commitment to the local auto industry, particularly in the premium EV segment.

Hongqi’s local momentum has been highlighted by the recent launch of the fully electric E-HS7 and E-H7 models. These reflect the brand’s focus on electrification, refined design, and performance, catering to consumers seeking more environmentally responsible mobility solutions. Further strengthening its brand presence, Hongqi Philippines recently named actress Alice Dixon as its new brand ambassador, citing her advocacy for clean mobility and alignment with the brand’s values of elegance and innovation.
The move to join CAMPI also supports Hongqi’s broader global strategy. At this year’s Auto Shanghai, the brand announced its shift toward a “World’s New Luxury” positioning. Hongqi says that this move will help enhance overall experience, advanced technology, and environmental responsibility. As part of this direction, Hongqi outlined plans to bring in 15 new models to the global arena over the next few years.
With its CAMPI membership, Hongqi Philippines is expected to play a major active role in industry discussions and initiatives while bringing its global vision closer to the local market. Anchoring on the brand’s commitment to modern, responsible, and electrified mobility, this venture signals a more expansive Hongqi lineup in the Philippines, moving forward.
