Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has expanded its footprint anew. Setting its sights in Eastern Visayas, the company recently inaugurated Honda Cars Tacloban, marking its first 3S (sales, service, and spare parts availability) dealership in Region 8.
The new facility, which officially opened on April 28, is located in Barangay Pawing, Palo, Leyte, near Bethel International School. Spanning approximately 2,145 sqm, the dealership is built to deliver a complete customer experience. As such, it offers vehicle sales, after-sales services, as well as access to Honda’s genuine parts and accessories.
Honda Cars Tacloban is owned and operated by Topcars Autoworld Corporation, a long-standing local partner of HCPI. The dealership underscores Honda’s commitment to bringing its global standards closer to customers in the region. It is equipped with modern service bays capable of handling general repairs, preventive maintenance services (PMS), spare parts replacement, and light body and paint work.

The inauguration was attended by Palo Municipal Mayor Remedios “Matin” L. Petilla, who expressed support for the investment and highlighted its potential contribution to the local economy. She also welcomed the improved access to quality automotive products and services for residents across Leyte and Samar.
HCPI President Hidekazu Arai emphasized the significance of the new dealership, noting that the brand’s presence in Region 8 had previously been limited to caravan activities. With a permanent facility now in place, the company aims to provide more consistent and accessible service. The executive went on to say, “This dealership strengthens our presence in the region and allows us to offer full services, from sales to after-sales support. It also helps us build long-term relationships with our customers in Tacloban.”
Honda Cars Tacloban operates its showroom daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while its service center is open from Monday to Saturday during the same hours.
Autocar’s Take
Expansion stories often focus on numbers and metrics—square meters, service bays, or dealership counts. But this one highlights something more practical: access. For years, customers in Eastern Visayas relied on occasional sales and service caravans, which made ownership feel distant after the purchase.
A permanent dealership changes that dynamic entirely. The presence of Honda Cars Tacloban brings continuity, accountability, and a sense of stability to the ownership experience. More than just a showroom, this facility is seen to support long-term customer relationships. In regions outside major urban centers such as Metro Manila, Cebu, or Davao, that kind of presence matters just as much as the vehicles themselves.
