GWM Philippines is expanding its dealer network with new locations in Bacoor, Cavite, and Cebu North as the automaker works toward its target of 20 dealerships nationwide by the end of 2026.
The company confirmed the addition of two dealer partners on Oct. 18, saying both locations are preparing to begin operations within the year. The expansion is intended to strengthen GWM’s presence in Region IV-A, which includes Cavite, and Region VII in the Visayas.
The new dealerships will be developed according to GWM’s global standards for vehicle sales, servicing and spare parts. The company said customers in both markets will have access to showroom facilities and after-sales support closer to home.
The Bacoor dealership will be led by Doroteo Sornet, chairman of ATSVL Inc., while Kris Lyndon Go, president of Auto Global Inc., will head the Cebu North operation.

“GWM is working to bring the brand closer to our customers, and we are committed to this for the remainder of 2026,” said Dax Avenido, brand head of GWM Philippines.
Avenido identified Bacoor and Cebu North as strategic markets for the company, adding that new dealer partners must meet the same standards for sales, service and parts support as the rest of the network.
The company said the consistent standards are intended to maintain a uniform ownership experience as its dealership footprint grows. However, it has yet to announce specific opening dates or provide detailed information about the two locations. Those details will be released as each dealership approaches its launch.
GWM Philippines is the official distributor of Great Wall Motor vehicles in the country and is operated by Luxuriant Automotive Group Inc. Its current lineup includes the Haval H7 and H9 sport utility vehicles and the GWM Cannon pickup, while the Ora 05 is listed as an upcoming model.
The addition of Bacoor and Cebu North represents another step in GWM Philippines’ push to expand its retail and after-sales reach. With both sites expected to move toward operations before the year ends, the company is working to meet its 20-dealership goal while extending support to customers beyond its existing markets.

Autocar’s Take
GWM Philippines’ plan to reach 20 dealerships by the end of 2026 is a reminder that selling cars is only half the job. For buyers in Bacoor and Cebu North, access to reliable servicing, spare parts and warranty support can matter just as much as the vehicle itself.
The real test will be how well these new outlets deliver after-sales service once they open. Expanding into more markets is a sensible move, brand-wise. But the quality of ownership support must keep pace with showroom growth. For GWM, consistency will matter more than simply hitting its dealership target.
