Green GSM Philippines is expanding its push into electric mobility by handing over 1,000 electric vehicles to driver partners during its largest-ever Driver Partner Festival.
Held from September 12 to 14 at The Tent in Las Piñas City and partner depots, the event brought together thousands of current and prospective Driver Partners. Green GSM said the gathering was intended to support growing demand for the green transition among drivers and public transport.
The handover of the first 1,000 electric vehicles is the centerpiece of the initiative. Green GSM said the additional vehicles will expand service capacity while giving drivers business options and access to electric vehicle operating models.
The program builds on the partnership between VinFast and Green GSM and introduces a vehicle rental model for eligible Driver Partners. Initial investment starts at P5,000, which the company says can lower the barrier for drivers looking to enter electric vehicle operations.
Under the program, drivers can choose between the four-seater Herio Green/VF 5 and the seven-seater Limo Green. Green GSM describes both as all-electric vehicles intended for service operations, with the company highlighting lower energy, maintenance, and servicing costs compared with gasoline vehicles in the same segment.
The program also includes support measures for pioneering partners. These include free charging and VinFast warranty coverage of up to seven years or 160,000 km for the Limo Green and VF 5/Herio Green. Green GSM says these provisions can help reduce operating expenses and improve business efficiency.
The festival also saw the launch of the Global Green GSM Driver Partner Community in the Philippines. The company said the community will give drivers a platform to share experiences, stay updated on policies and information, and work together toward a more professional and connected network.
Beyond the vehicle handover, participants were able to test-drive VinFast electric vehicles, ask questions about EV operations and learn about relevant policies and benefits. Green GSM also provided assistance with registration procedures for drivers transitioning to electric vehicle services.
Green GSM currently operates electric taxi services in Metro Manila, Central Visayas, and Mindanao through Green GSM Car and Green GSM Limo, its seven-seater premium taxi service. The company is also expanding partnerships with local taxi operators as it works to broaden its green mobility network in the Philippines.
The latest initiative gives driver partners a direct role in Green GSM’s expansion while adding more electric vehicles to its service ecosystem.
