Serving as the entry point to the lineup, the seven-seat GN6 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, producing 177 hp and 270 Nm of torque. Designed with family use in mind, it features a spacious cabin with a flat-folding third row that expands cargo capacity to as much as 1,100 liters. It also comes equipped with a 14.6-inch touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems.

Stepping up the range is the E8 HEV, which combines a 2.0-liter hybrid engine with an electric motor for improved efficiency and a claimed driving range of over 1,000 km. Inside, the MPV emphasizes passenger comfort with up to 18 seating configurations, Zero Gravity second-row seats with massage and ventilation functions, and a cargo area that expands to nearly 2,000 liters when needed. Other highlights include dual sunroofs, power-sliding doors, wireless charging, and GAC’s ADiGO intelligent driving technologies.

The flagship GN8 PHEV Executive targets buyers looking for a more luxurious people mover. It pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle engine with an electric motor to produce a combined 373 hp and 630 Nm of torque. GAC says the plug-in hybrid system offers up to 120 km of electric driving range and a combined range of up to 1,038 km. Its upscale cabin features Zero Breeze air conditioning, second-row captain’s chairs with massage and ventilation, a 16-speaker audio system, tri-zone climate control, a panoramic roof, and other executive-focused amenities.

The new MPV family is now open for reservations at GAC dealerships nationwide. Buyers can choose from Pearl White, Crystal White, Classic Black, Elegant Black, Blade Shadow White, and Temple Gold, although color availability varies depending on the model.

Autocar’s Take

GAC Philippines is making a serious push into one of the country’s most competitive segments. Rather than introducing just one people mover, the brand now offers a full MPV lineup that caters to different budgets and needs, from families looking for a practical seven-seater to buyers seeking hybrid efficiency or executive-level luxury.

The introductory pricing also makes the new GAC MPV family more attractive during its launch period. With Filipinos continuing to value spacious and versatile vehicles, the GN6, E8 HEV, and GN8 PHEV Executive give GAC a stronger presence in a market where choice has become increasingly important.
