Demand for the model surged immediately, surpassing 1,000 units in sales within just over three months. The executive added, “To see the Territory Hybrid emerge as the best-selling hybrid vehicle in the market in such a short period of time is both incredibly rewarding and a powerful validation of our electrification strategy.”
The Ford Territory Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-liter dedicated hybrid engine paired with an electric motor, a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, and a lithium-ion battery system. The setup allows the vehicle to switch seamlessly between electric and gasoline power, helping optimize fuel efficiency while maintaining responsive performance.
Ford claims the hybrid SUV delivers fuel economy of up to 19.6 kilometers per liter and can travel as far as 1,000 kilometers on a full tank. During the Department of Energy’s 2025 Fuel Eco-Run, the model achieved an even higher fuel economy rating of 23.71 km/L.
