GWM Philippines has officially launched the Haval H7, a five-seater SUV that comes with either a hybrid or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain. The Haval H7 also features a bold and commanding exterior as well as a spacious interior and three variants to choose from. To top things off, GWM PH is offering the Haval H7 with a P50,000 introductory discount.

The Haval H7 comes with a similar silhouette to the H9 4×4 SUV, which was launched by GWM PH in February 2026. The Haval H7 has an assertive presence, highlighted by its boxy design, along with square-ish LED headlights that are integrated with daytime running lights. It also has a large bumper, adding to the overall commanding presence when the Haval H7 is viewed from the front.

Turning at the side, the GWM Haval H7 has prominent fender flares that give the vehicle a muscular look. It also has roof rails for added functionality, black cladding, and power folding side mirrors. Depending on the variant, the Haval H7 comes with a set of 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels.

The bold and confident styling continues to be seen at the rear. It features a rugged look that’s integrated with nostalgic SUV design due to the presence of an externally mounted, full-sized spare tire. This could arguably remind you of how Japanese SUVs are designed, such as the Mitsubishi Pajero, Nissan Patrol, and Isuzu Trooper, among others. The Haval H7’s rear also comes with a chunky bumper and vertical LED taillights.

Inside, the GWM Haval H7 comes with a modern-looking cabin, which is highlighted by a screen-filled dashboard. Stacked at the center is a massive 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen that’s standard across the three Haval H7 variants. The said touchscreen is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with the top-spec Haval H7 Hi4 PHEV 4WD featuring a 10-speaker setup.

The Haval H7 also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats, and 8-way power seats with lumbar adjustment for the top-spec trim. Of note, the Haval H7 can accommodate up to five occupants, with second-row passengers getting their own aircon vents and two USB ports. The three Haval H7 variants also come with a wireless smartphone charger, while the top-spec H7 Hi4 PHEV 4WD is the only variant that has a panoramic sunroof.

In terms of safety, the GWM Haval H7 has six airbags, an anti-lock braking system, cornering brake control, traction control, hill descent control, hill hold control, electronic stability program, and a 540-degree view camera as standard. It also has cruise control with the top-spec integrated with an intelligent cruise control tech.

Under the hood, the GWM Haval H7 can come with either a hybrid or PHEV powertrain. The entry variant, which is the GWM Haval H7 HEV 2WD, pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with GWM’s Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), generating a combined 244 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque.

The GWM Haval H7 PHEV 2WD, on one hand, packs a 19.09 kWh battery, along with a 1.5-liter turbo engine, producing a combined power output of 322 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. It comes with a pure electric range of up to 105 kilometers (NEDC).

Meanwhile, the top-spec GWM Haval H7 Hi4 PHEV 4WD is also equipped with a 19.09 kWh battery, but it comes with dual electric motors. As such, it puts out a combined output of 359 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. It comes with a pure electric range of up to 91 kilometers (NEDC).
