Andika Rama from Indonesia claimed the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Asia eSports GT Championship crown as he bested other virtual racers from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
Rama’s virtual driving skill in Gran Turismo 7 propelled him to reclaim his title as the best sim racer in the TGR Asia eSports GT Championship. He previously won the coveted title in 2023 and was able to finish in second place last year.
Rama claimed the top podium spot in this year’s Individual Category with a total of 74 points. He is followed in second by his fellow Indonesian, Moreno Pratama, with 62 points, while Malaysia’s Chong Kai Chang secured third place with 59 points.
With two virtual drivers on the podium, Indonesia accumulated 169 points from its drivers: Andika Rama, Moreno Pratama, and Farizi Pramaditya, clinching the Country Championship. Malaysia finished in second while Singapore settled for third, earning 151 and 93 points, respectively.
Team Philippines, with sim drivers Victor Ancheta, Enzo Ison, and Mathhew Ang, finished fourth overall in the Country Championship. Ison scored the country’s highest finish at eighth place, while Ang placed 13th, and Ancheta in 14th.

Indonesian sim racer Rama said that his and the whole Team Indonesia’s performance at this year’s TGR Asia eSports GT Championship is a result of months of preparation and executing the team’s game plan no matter what.
“Winning the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing Asia eSports GT Championship is the result of months of preparation and sticking to our race strategies, even as other teams pushed hard and made aggressive pit calls. We focused on refining our approach lap by lap, adjusting in real time while remaining true to our plan. Seeing our strategy pay off and being crowned Asia’s champion again gives us an incredible sense of pride,” Rama said.

Toyota Motor Asia General Manager Jaja Ishibashi noted that this year’s competition showed how every sim racer pushed their limits.
“Every racer pushed their limits, refined their approach, and demonstrated remarkable composure across changing conditions. Beyond the results, what stood out most was the collective commitment to improvement and teamwork. These are values that continue to drive GAZOO Racing forward,” Ishibashi shared.
Special awards were also given in recognition of drivers’ exceptional performances, with Rama clinching Driver of the Day, Malaysia’s Chong Kai Chang taking home Best Racecraft Driver, and Singapore’s Fadtris Isa winning Fastest Race Pace.
